The official review is a misnomer, not all races get air power, and the air power isn't air power as it goes round mountains and flies rather badly, at odd angles and with weird graphics, like bullets flying through the plane itself.
The game has two major bugs in the latest two races from soulstorm which have yet to be patched.
Also the CD comes with some anti theft technology which conflicts with other anti theft technology like Steam which is bundled on games such as half life 2 and counterstrike, which becomes very annoying to say the least.
Otherwise a worthy collection if you haven't bought each one individually. A good way to waste an afternoon.

This is a serious simulator. I've used the whole history of MS Flight Simulators and each gets better. I've used this one for over 3 years now and still don't tire of it. Limitations yes - the principal one being that you're trying to fly an aircraft through a single window. Realistic yes - though I have to say that flying a real light aircraft in good conditions is actually easier than flying this sim! Add ons available - limitless including many free options. With full scenery optional extras (third party) you can fly over and recognise your own house. Alternatively you can plan and fly around the world in real time and weather. Up to you.
If you are already a real world pilot (as I am) you can use this to brush up on your nav ... Read More:

After playing EQ1 I thought EQ2 would be just as good but it wasnt, for me the instancing spoiled the realism. This game has so much potential and even though the player community has dwindled (it is picking up) you can still enjoy solo. Definately worth a look especially considering the new low price here. There are still bugs and it does require a good spec machine to run to full potential I have run on a buisness laptop with graphics/sound turned down but not advisable. Downside, as i normally play a cleric, I dont get to sit around as much these days as the clerics here need to fight aswell.

Stalker is an excellent game, exactly the kind of thing that is at home on the PC. Don't expect to be led through it by the hand like COD4 or HL2, its a different animal.
Locales are excellent, giving a proper feel of almost post apocalyptic desolation (its not necessary to have first read Roadside Picnic or watched Tarkovsky's Stalker before playing, although you really need to anyway as they are both so remarkable) and the environment and combat are both very real. Graphics are comparable to HL2 and there are plenty of spine tingling moments.

Despite this game now being old, every PC owner should play this game pure and simple.
Created by well-known Games designer Peter Molyneux, head of Lionhead studios, famous for other innovative titles such as Black and White, or The movies.
Now for those of you that don't know, Molyneux said some pretty drastic things during press conferences. He claimed plants would be growing I real time that there would be rival NPCS to name a few, the games sales suffered greatly due to this. But of course, on the old Xbox his was just a dram, an unrealistic goal. Fable for the PC is a port, from the console, so obviously it going to have the same flaws.
The graphics are stunning, I'm going to say that right away, I had to buy a new graphics card to play ... Read More:

To celebrate the anniversary EA offered up the 1995 CnC for free download. This kind of compilation would be great in a half-price sale, then you'd only be paying for the add-ons that you might have missed.
Anyone who has bought, played and kept all the old games from the past, this compilation's pointless, and brand new PC owners might want to just buy a combined CnC 3 with Kane's Wrath add-on and start from there. Hearing from other reviews that Tiberian Sun's just as buggy as it was before is another personal minus, I'll stick with my retail copy from back then. However with Red Alert 3 on its way fairly soon, EA can re-issue this one every so often and it might eventually become more worthwhile.

AoE has a sound pedigree & the Conquerors' Expansion is the icing on the cake.
The facility to customise your own camaigns is irresistible & enthralling.
It has excellent graphics & a number of levels on which to play helps prevent early frustration & encourages learning.
This is ideal for both the seasoned game campaigner or the absolute beginner.
Hours of endless escapism - fabulous!
