I have been playing GW for over 2yrs now, i have all campaigns and this expansion, with all of them complete on hard mode. This expansion is really good, but just doesnt have that same feeling as the others...Like on nightfall going though the campaign, struggling and then you make it and feel like you have really achieved something. This doesnt feel the same at all, because it is so short. I would say that factions is the best still, and that GW is still the best online MMORPG

I don't know why others are moaning about getting the game up and running. Admittedly I had to look up how to get the game working (I have Vista) but are people really so incapable as to not be able to find the game's shortcut in the game folder? They don't know what they're missing out on.

Gears of war is a graphically splendid game that is a huge amount of fun. When played online in co-op with a friend the game becomes one of the best experiences I've ever had game wise. Having a friend cover you with a sniper rifle while you go berserk with the shotgun or lancer (the huge machine gun with the chainsaw attachment) is awesome.

What can i say

groundbreaking, fantastic graphics, AI that stops 60% of enemy stupididity, levels that can be approached in different ways, non stop action. Should run great on any modern machine. If you aint played it do so now - that's an order!

The dreaded Zboard... I got mine tried it and ended up sticking it in the bin. Not well supported over here, not compared to North America. The drivers wouldn't work correctly I ended up denting my coffee table with it and I then spent half an hour picking up all the parts from around the floor. Got myself a Logitec G15 and haven't looked back.

Nice idea shame about finished product, and poor techincal support.

This is an amazing game. If you've played city builders since Sim City 1 and been disappointed by the later versions because they railroad you in terms of what's possible, poor graphics and dumb politics...prepare to be amazed by CL 2008.

This European take on the SC universe looks stunning and allows you, finally, to drive around your own city a la GTA San Andreas. People have little dramas going on and you can see roads, shops, schools, sunsets, nightscapes and parks all come to life in first person glory...or zoom out to see glistening mountains and rivers.

The city sounds are breathtakingly real and immersive.

This game is magnificent. Everything about it spells ingenuity, attention to detail and imagination. The multiplayer mode can be superfluous fun, the adaptive difficulty always presents you with a new challenge and the vast amounts of unlockable content means that there is here a nearly endless source of replayability.
Many people have said that there is a problem with graphics cards not being able to support pixel shader. Well, a program called 3d Analyze will simulate this and many other graphical features that your card is incapable of handling (however, is you simulate too much the game will be very slow, as your C.P.U. is having to do more work). I bought this game because I have played all the others and they were fabulous!!! But be careful, to play the game you need a Radeon 9700 graphics card or NVIDIA GeForce 6200 or more. I made the mistake of buying the game and not checking my graphics card (I'd never had to before) to find that I didn't have either of the above cards so I can't play the game. It's a shame because the game looks so fun and thought provoking. So please check out what graphics card your pc/notebook has before buying.
