My god! I thought Battle for Middle Earth II was bad, but it was sheer brilliance compared to this! The first thing I noticed was how the witch king doesn't sound remotley like the one from the film & now the characters are more like something from a poor RTS clone of Warcraft.
In the end, I just couldn't stand to play it. I was in love with the first game, but EA just proved that they're sole motivation here was a quick cash grab.
Avoid like the plague!

I found it hard to have a real overview of your nation and forces when you can't zoom out enough to see your entire nation or even half of it.
I lost focus on what was going on when I couldn't see all the kinds of activities that took place around my nation.

And where is the ability to change view?
Why make a game where you can only view things from one perspective?

It's pretty fun to play though up until things get really busy then I lost focus.

This game has both the feel of something fresh and the excitement of politics. Just watch your popularity drop like a stone when you raise taxation or implement harsh gun controls. This game has it all. Play as either conservative, labour or any of your choice and show no mercy...just lower that monetary deficit and be the best head of state that you can.

Its good but does not deserve five stars as it is a game which gets old very quickly but does have the ability to drag you back to play when you are bored of the generic shoot 'em up. Well worth the political and economic expenditure.

My First advice is please take caution when buying this game as EA have took it off their website which signals they might be releasing a new one for 07.

Basicly this is a stuffpack if you brought the holiday pack from 05 then don't bother buying this one as it only adds 20 more objects but for those who haven't brought one then only buy it if you want xmas objects if your expecting anything else then you'll be disapointed.

I must admit that I did like the atmosphere in the game and the main characters and swopping between playing the main characters, but the game lacked a lot of things.

First off, it's categorised as an adventure game. It's pretty new, so it follows the 3d and fighting and sneaking aspects that other adventure games have been implementing thus far, but does it badly. I've played games like Broken Sword 3 (where there is both sneaking and quick thinking parts to the game) and Sanitarium (which has a few mandatory fight scenes), but in this game, they go too far with it. I think the first few fight scenes are okay and implemented well, but then it just goes ridiculous. Same for the sneak scenes. There are far too many of them and they are clumped together ... Visualy I have no problem with it. Yes it's dated but I don't mind. Engine does seem more optimised and runs a dream on mine (Vista x64 Ulti,PD945,4GB,GF7950gt512mb) and I think they have crammed more special effect into this but even if this was the newest greatest looking game out it still wouldn't get a good review from me.

As others mention the story is a bit, meh and all the 'new' stuff here really doesn't add much. Doesn't have nearly as much atmosphere or scare but has a couple of moments. The action and scare doesn't blend and for most of it have no idea what it all about I'm just going round shooting. This is a great deal to do with they've made it much more a fast shooter.

What can i say

groundbreaking, fantastic graphics, AI that stops 60% of enemy stupididity, levels that can be approached in different ways, non stop action. Should run great on any modern machine. If you aint played it do so now - that's an order!
