Saitek Cyborg EVO Joystick (PC)

I bought the Saitek Cyborg EVO on the recommendation of a friend and on the back of many of the positive reviews on Amazon.

I have to say that it is a a really nicely designed joystick and I did manage to get a fairly full year and a few months out of it. The adjustable hand positions, the multiple button settings (i've had no problem with changing the presets) and the roll bar are all excellent and well placed. So, given all of this, why did I only give this kit 3 stars?

Sadly, I have to agree with one of the other reviews about it's durability and/or craftsmanship. The trigger button barely lasted me a year and I am not such a devoted gamer to justify it breaking. Now, the sensor gets stuck and I find myself firing ... Read More:

Entertaning and addictive. Gets harder as you go throught the game. Graphics are O.K. not great though made up for by drawing on the imagination.
However "Malware Scanner" discovered "Dark ftp" A back door virus which apparently steals your passwords.
This may be a glitch with this particular scanner but take care!
Any other scanners found this???

This game has both the feel of something fresh and the excitement of politics. Just watch your popularity drop like a stone when you raise taxation or implement harsh gun controls. This game has it all. Play as either conservative, labour or any of your choice and show no mercy...just lower that monetary deficit and be the best head of state that you can.

Its good but does not deserve five stars as it is a game which gets old very quickly but does have the ability to drag you back to play when you are bored of the generic shoot 'em up. Well worth the political and economic expenditure.

Graphics - Very clear useable graphics, good replays, not as super enhanced as codemasters grid, but, good enough to make this a very enjoyable racer. Of the same standard as GTR2.

Sound - Excellent, this is one of the best parts of the game, uber realistic and adjustable. Excellent.

Gameplay - I have found this to be a very enjoyable racer with few problems. I have mostly raced it off line and have found the A.I. to be very challenging and quite sensible most of the time. They make mistakes and drive defensivley but do have the tendancy to punt you off if they are on a flying lap and are going quicker than you.

Rome: Total War and Rome: Total War Barbarian Invasion are the best Total War games. The graphics arnt brilliant but the strategy side of it is.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (PC DVD)

Ubisoft made massive error with Ghost Recon 2, transforming the tried, tested and popular stealth and strategy based format for a very arcade-like shooter patronising it's usual patrons by playing for a much larger target audience. Many hoped they wouldn't do the same with the release of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, but hardcore fans were disappointed.

Whilst the PC release of GRAW was fun, it fell far short of the original title in terms of quality gameplay and if you had played the Xbox 360 version you would have felt very hard-done by. PC gamers used to be focus of Ubisoft's efforts, but the PC release of GRAW, like Ghost Recon 2, really did feel like a second consideration on the part of Ubisoft. I have only had this game since 15th of March, and already i can tell you that this is one hell of a game.

Graphics wise EVERYTHING, from buildings, snow, gun design and characters look so amazing, even at low specs. If you zoom into walls, you can see very fine textures. wrinkles, and facial hair can be seen clearly.

Gameplay wise, so far it seems pretty long. Many tactics can be used here. Enemies frequently use grenades which is very realistic, and even on the 2nd difficulty, it is still a challenge. In this game, theres no such thing as 'running and gunning,' not only will you look like a fool out there, but you will get taken pretty easily. When I saw this game in the shop, I had already heard of it and therefore decided to buy it.
Put it into my PC - first disappointment. Even though it doesn't need it during the game (it's a one-player game), the installer requires a working internet connection - which I didn't have on that PC.
Even though I eventually worked around that, I still needed to be connected to the internet every time I wanted to start it (damn Steam!).

Once these problems were solved, I could start.
The game gives a nice introduction and has an interesting storyline - you seem to be a female android (or clone or something like that) and are running through a test program.
