I think some of these reviews were written too soon. I have played a few months and yes it is harder but the game play has improved immensely. You just need time to master it. I think FIFA need to work on these bugs before they release the game. There are a lot of odd things here from the commentary being totally wrong, or your defenders standing aside as the PC strikers run towards goal.. Aside from that the management section is as good as it gets.

this game has everything to make it an original war game, you can play with 31 other players against 32 other players making that 64 PLAYERS ON ONE SERVER!!, with a good graphics card you can stick this game on full video settings and recieve top notch graphics and get no lag, plenty of other features aswell such as promotions through ranks from private to general, even be lucky enough to command your whole side and arrange supply drops which contain health, ammo and repairs for vehicles, UAV drops to find enemy soldiers to take them out and artillery strikes at enemy bases, become a leader of a strike team of 6 people to help you keep orginised, arrange orders such as attack, defend or move to certain places, multiple vehicles to choose from such as tanks, ... This is an amazing game. If you've played city builders since Sim City 1 and been disappointed by the later versions because they railroad you in terms of what's possible, poor graphics and dumb politics...prepare to be amazed by CL 2008.

This European take on the SC universe looks stunning and allows you, finally, to drive around your own city a la GTA San Andreas. People have little dramas going on and you can see roads, shops, schools, sunsets, nightscapes and parks all come to life in first person glory...or zoom out to see glistening mountains and rivers.

The city sounds are breathtakingly real and immersive.

Saitek Cyborg EVO Joystick (PC)

I bought the Saitek Cyborg EVO on the recommendation of a friend and on the back of many of the positive reviews on Amazon.

I have to say that it is a a really nicely designed joystick and I did manage to get a fairly full year and a few months out of it. The adjustable hand positions, the multiple button settings (i've had no problem with changing the presets) and the roll bar are all excellent and well placed. So, given all of this, why did I only give this kit 3 stars?

Sadly, I have to agree with one of the other reviews about it's durability and/or craftsmanship. The trigger button barely lasted me a year and I am not such a devoted gamer to justify it breaking. Firstly ive rated 3 stars because its in the middle and ive not actually played enough to give a fair rating. The graphics and first looks are amazing!!! but be warned there is absolutely no training, starting missions or tutorials, you are thrown straight into the cockpit straight into space, there u go get on wiv it, this immediately has put me right off, whilst i am definately willing to put in the time and learn everything about this game (if i can manage to pull myself away from world of warcraft) those of you who are looking for a pick up and play game would might like to think again. i cannot stress enough the detail and beautiful graphics of this game (if u have the system to run it of course) but i imagine u would have to play the first in the X series to get to grips with all ... I have played many civil war Sims indeed many napoleonic sims too!
they have all been at best good.
TC 2nd Manassas is like no other ever made!
The Graphics as so detailed so clear so smooth, the sound is something else! I am a member of the Forum of Mad minute games, these are the people who designed this sim, when you buy the sim and join the forum, you get new maps new battles etc Stones river, Sharpsburg, Gettysburg,Champions hill, Fredericksburg, the Wilderness, Chickmauga.
All these maps which are so beautifully created and so accurate will take your breathe away!
The sound of insects can be heard in the back ground, the flags of the regiments gently flap in the breeze, you are their! back in 1862
all in all no other Sim comes anywhere near this one

This is an excellent program for strong players, club and tournament players,and for novices who want to study the game in some depth. If you are a social player who just wants to play against a computer now and then, you could save money by opting for a program with fewer facilities. The facilities that come with Fritz are not particulary helpful anyway. The "coach" and "hint" features are useless to a beginner and annoying to a strong player. I saw my King was being threatened, and asked for a hint. Up came the message 'the white king is under threat' In another game there was only one square available for my checked King. I could see that this would be followed by mate. I moved to that square to let the computer have its victory. Up pops "coach" to tell me that the move would lead to disaster!
