The Lost Crown is one of the very best adventure games that I have played for many years. I obtained a copy of an imported version of the game so I am lucky to have already played it prior to the UK release.
As the player character (Nigel Danvers), you explore locations throughout the game in a hunt for the lost Saxon crown. During your journey, you encounter many interesting and strange characters, lots of wonderful locations, creepy voices, ghosts, unexplained phenomenon and lots more.
I spent days and days playing this game and once I started, I just couldn't stop. The game evokes a range of emotions as you play. In much of the game you feel that `someone' is watching you and there are certainly plenty of moments during ... Read More:

My teen aged daughter is totally addicted to it and won't stop playing. Great game and easy to use. If you don't know if you like this sort of thing then start with the free trial versions available on the 'net. All the disks installed with no problems on the Vista platform (although the AofE free trial from the 'net doesn't).

I've just played through this on the pc having previously played it on the Xbox.
This game was sadly rushed to release and it shows but only towards the very end of the game (around the 40 hour mark). The first 35 hours (give or take) are absolutely fantastic with one of the best opening levels I've played, which lasts about two hours. True, the story isn't quite as compelling as KOTOR but what the game may lack in comparison to Biowork's effort, Obsidian have refined the engine somewhat. The best new addtion is the ability to breakdown items and create your own weapons/armour/lightsaber modifications. Therefore rather than having to buy armour upgrades you can make them yourself. This does mean that gaining money becomes less of an issue, but if ... Read More:

Sid Meier is a man who understands what makes a good game. A look at his list of credits will reveal many games that have now been labelled as classics - Civilization, Colonization, Gettysburg, Alpha Centauri, Railroad Tycoon and, of course, Pirates!
The joy of Pirates is that it is a really simple gaming concept executed well. There gameplay is unpretentious, the graphics are attractive and the storyline is there for those who want it and can be ignored by those who do not. There are multiple measures for you to assess your success - whether it is the number of family members found, the amount of wealth accumulated or simply enemy pirates or ships defeated or scuttled.
The mechanics of the gameplay are well-designed; duels are fast and exciting (though ... Read More:

This is a brilliant game for all those of you that loved the last two 'Dawn of War' games. The two new races (Necrons and Tau) are very fun to play as well as the new things added to the other races. There is one slight problem though. There is now a limited number of each structure and unit that can be built. But this is not too much of a problem. I would recomend you buy this game.

The original Ship Simulator was great; it was unique had great graphics and was fun to play. Ship Sim 2008 is one of those very few games where the developers seem to have looked at the forums of the previous game, and took their lead from what people really wanted. As a result, apart from the obvious; more scenery more, ships and better graphics, there's also open ocean environments, BIG waves and storms, and the ability to sink ships. Like MS Flight Simulator, Ship Simulator is also used by professionals. While it is not quite at that level yet, it is very good.

Having been a fan of RTS for a long time I always had the same frustrations of either campaigns that were too easy or gameplay that followed the same play format over and over again, you know defence, build up your forces then go for the kill but not getting challenged that much. All that changed however when I started playing dark Crusade. I didn't think it would be possible to improve on the original format but they've managed it with spades! This game is a real challenge in campaign mode, you really have to think about what your doing and it will beat you when you make mistakes or get complacent! The graphics are great and the Necrons have a real matrix feal about them which I really like.
Overall this is a great game, if you like Warhammer and you like a game that can challenge you this ... Read More:

This genre is right up my street something I love highly its got steampunk+cyberpunk+gangstas! It has humour, mutants what more could you ask for!
yes it is a little old but its a classic World of Warcraft and other online games should take note of these two little gems!
Lets hope Stargate Worlds and the Fallout 3 are worthy of being sat besides these classics.

Bought for my wife who has played all the CSI games and she loves this title. Some good puzzles and easy controls - sounds like the other reviewers have duff PCs. Only downer is one scene when you are tied to a chair (no spoilers!) and you have to 'hop' the chair about to get out. One wrong move and the game ends. Pity they have to stick a daft bit in like that. I sort of think it is like a Resident Evil game without the zombies, but all the puzzles. Good fun and under a tenner a DEFINATE buy for CSI fanatics needing their next fix.
