Well I decided to wait a month before reviewing this joystick. Its my first "real" joystick, the first was some cheap unbranded thing that died soon after being taken out of the box.
I was a bit skeptical when I first saw the price, but as I am a student, I cannot afford top of the range sticks like the X52 or CH products. This one appeared to fit the bill. It had everything I needed; enough buttons, throttle control, and a twist handle for rudder (no space and no money for pedals, which is one of the reasons I decided not to get a CH stick even if I somehow found the money).
First impressions: On the pictures it looks great, nice contrasting colours, cool LED on the top, looks comfortable to hold. When taking it out ... Read More:

These pedals are great. They feel so comfortable, they never jam up, and the are sensetive, making them very controllable. Overall, these pedals are amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone. I bought them mainly to use with my Heavy Gear and Heavy Gear II games, and found them useful for many other things. Once again, I greatly recommend these. They'll never lose their novelty.

I tryed one of these at my mates house and it seemed good value for money for what you get it is well made yet the buttons are way out of reach overall a good joy stick for a amature gamer.
This was great for playing games like pro evo and gta as you didnt have to find and extra pair of hands from somewhere to press all the keys needed, just plug in your ps1/2 controller and your away. The downside to this product is it doesn't last very long as it is very cheaply made. It isn't very strong where the cable meets the box so if you pull it a little to hard it doesnt take much to loosen the wires inside causing it not to work.
My advice is look around you can find better quality products for half the price, as I did after owning this product for the three weeks.
All in all it's a good quality, decent value wheel. The only caveat is that it's a vibration feedback wheel, which means it doesn't support force feedback (for example, Sega Rally). Provided you don't mind missing out on rumble effects on a few games, it's a good buy.

I give this advice to anyone thinking of buying this MadKatz controller and, indeed, any hardware not made by the console maker in general (Microsoft, Sony etc). I know you will probably save a tenner or more but in the end you will pay double because generic items like this are NEVER made to the same standard as the oficial manufacturer.
I got this for my son this xmas (1 month ago) and it is broke already! He doesn't play more than many kids, usually after school. And he has looked after it well. However something is wrong with one of the buttons (not the button itself, it must be internal) meaning ALL of the games he plays (FIFA and Tony Hawkes)are affected and spoilt.
I've had similar problems with controlers made for PSII ... Read More:
I bought this control pad as I couldn't get a hold of the XFX control pad, my main reason for buying this one is because it had a simular custom profile, and was an alternitive to the other one mentioned and in my view is a whole lot better than the one mentioned that I was orignaly going to buy.
Control pad functions:
The control pad overal has the FPS button for First Person Shoot em up games and can be turned off at any time and you can also modify the button entries to emulate any other keyboard function/mouse functions via it's custom profile editor, also you'll be able to tell when it's off when the red LED is off on the FPS button.
The control pad can also have it's rumble feature and analog control sticks turned on/off ... Read More:

I needed a new gamepad after my old Gravis Gamepad Pro finally gave out. This was a perfect replacement - comfortable, durable, easy to handle, and inexpensive. I only occasionally play games and even then I only play sports sims, and it does the job fine on all of them except NHL '06, where it has a problem making menu navigation and control impossible (also the same with NHLs '05 and '07). Logitech's support site mentions this and says there's nothing they can do to fix it. Aside from that, it's a great basic gamepad for the money.
