Bought this game for the PSP so that I could pick it up whenever I felt like it and play on the move. Have'nt put it down since getting it! Controls are really easy to get used to, gameplay is fun and graphics are superb. There is a bit of slowdown just after loading the level and after switching the PSP on after doing a quickstart, but its only a couple of seconds which is nothing. Load times are ok, not short but not enough to annoy you.

Switching between characters in real time is a great touch. You dont have to be a massive X-Men fan to enjoy this game, but for those who are there's plenty to keep you entertained. 16 mutants, all with different abilities. Oh my god EA, how could it be soo bad! Maybe I should just blame the game testers for thinking that this game is any better than pathetic.

Anyway I,ll just list the bad points here.
1.Passing. After pressing the pass button then waiting a stupid amount of time for it to pass youll be lucky if it actually goes in the right direction. It seems to get even more eratic in the harder levels. Half of the time it goes to the other team aswell.

2.Shooting. No skill required at all, just luck. If you actually get a chance to shoot then youll most likely miss anyway and if its on target then it will be saved. I've loved every single Syphon Filter game that's been released.This latest offering,is certainly way up there.I loved all the missions,just a slight gripe with rescuing Lian.That perhaps could have been done a tad better.It was done with other female characters held hostage.Despite that,its a great game.I love the deadly assortment of weapons on offer.Gabe's unarmed combat moves look good.Personally,I hope there is another game in the pipeline.

There are a few reviews on here that cover this game well, see the one below for example. However, and I have found this to be quite an issue when I was first deciding on a new handheld system, there are an awful lot of lies about the PSP by DS fanboys.

What you need to know is that this is a remake of the PSOne classic that never made it to Europe and had many people either importing or using other means to get hold of the game. I personally hold this as the best tactical RPG ever, even above the mighty Disgaea, Shining Force 2 and Front Mission 3. The story is rich and dark and heavily revolves around the theme of class systems, what makes the story so good is that it is a Japanese take on European culture and history which makes for something both ... Sony Psp Faceplate - Chrome

Item does not fit particularly well - gappy in places, not as easy to fit as I'd hoped. The fitting instructions for the faceplate were very good but the there were no instructions included for fitting the backing plate.The faceplate looks very impressive once fitted but be prepared to fiddle about a lot when fitting it,the poor fit on mine meant the joystick kept sticking during use, it takes a lot of messing about to get this working ok. It's a shame about the gappy look around the edges.

In direct comparison with the previous HP game for the PSP (goblet of fire), this really shines despite the better reviews G.O.F. received. The graphics are so, SO much better as well as the music and especially in its story telling through BREATHTAKING cutscenes which I sorely missed in G.O.F. Also the great voice acting by the cast really immerses you into the game -another thing largely lacking in G.O.F. This game, to put it simply made me want to play it...ALOT! I could hardly put it down (despite my library of games with the very highest ratings) With the previous HP, i became quickly bored and irritated with the gameplay and left it well alone.

This game has the feel of an open ended RPG in an environment all Potter fans will go crazy for! (its so detailed and beautiful) ... Read More:

Although I agree with the article about the bugs (Such as the jumping of the white as it travels) overall it doesn't affect the game in anyway!!! This is a really good game with loads of improvements over 2005, such as the positional help. Overall a top game.
