Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant (PC)

This is the first piece of hardware I bought to expand on my online flight sim experience. I already have a Saitek joystick. The hardware itself is quite nice. it comes with extra knobs for the levers so you can configure it as you like. It is also designed to mount side-by-side with a second unit seamlessly, giving a four engine config if required.

On the downside, the newer Saitek software was a bit tricky to install - it kept redetecting ALL my devices for a while. It also somehow contrived to knock out my BT Internet browser, a very unexpected problem which i have not been able to fix. It also has made it difficult to reconfigure my joystick for keyboard presses, which I use for my push-to-talk buttons.

Zboard Gamers Keyboard Starter Kit (PC)

I was bought a Zboard complete with games keyboard and World Warcraft board last Christmas. The QWERTY keyboard has failed in that 2 keys are no longer working and nowhere can I find a replacement.I prefer the standard keyboard in everyday use so I tried changing the 2 keys ,but to no avail. My World Warcraft operates ALL characters, which tells me it is the actual keys from the board that must be at fault.Any solutions would be welcome

Logitech MOMO Racing Wheel (PC/Mac)

I bought this wheel when it first came out. It was excellent then and it probably still is the best wheel you can buy. However, like Cobb, after a couple of years the pedals developed a problem which Logitech couldn't fix (I probably play on average 3-4 hours per week). As they were just outside the warranty I bought another wheel. Once again, just over two years down the road, the pedals have developed the same fault and, once again, Logitech won't replace them. What to do? Excellent wheel/pedals, shitty reliability and service.

Ok so I wasnt expecting anything special due to the low price, however i was pleasently suprised. Ill start with the only flaw ive found, the force feedback system is great however there is a dead zone kind of where when the wheel should return to center it jreturns just very close to it, whilst this is only minor, it can be slightly irritating when your trying to keep a line.
But anyway, the paddle shift gears work great, the force feedback overall is top notch, installation (PC) is simple, insert the cd, install drivers, plug in the wheel and your done. Then run the game you want to use it with (for me GTR2) and simply go on controls and set it up, took me 30 seconds and i was off racing. Brings heaps of fun to what is an average game when ... I bought this over a Microsoft 360 pad for PC as I liked the look of it and the reviews were pretty good. Firstly the usb cord is about 5 feet long and on an average PC thats not enough. I had to use a USB hub (or you could use an extension cable) but thats not the point this should have at least double the length. The shape of the pad is larger than a 360 pad, and is quite comfortable. The interchangable joystick feature is a good idea I liked it as some games seem to suit a certain style. The material the pad is made from is a bit sandpapery I don't like it. Also the weight of the pad is too light. Once you install the pad I found the pad to be very responsive, better than the 360 pad in fact. But this is let down by the lack of the stated rumble feature ... Read More:

Trust GM-2500 Joystick (PC)

I tryed one of these at my mates house and it seemed good value for money for what you get it is well made yet the buttons are way out of reach overall a good joy stick for a amature gamer.

C&H Products USB Combat Stick (200-568) (PC)

I did a lot of research and testing before deciding on the CH Combat Stick, and after using it for some time now I'm still confident I made the right decision. The only other contenders in the same league are the other 2 CH options (the Flight Stick Pro and the Fighter Stick), Saitek's X52 (or X52 Pro) HOTAS setup, and the Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS. Looking at the last two first, both the Cougar and the X52 have their good and bad points, but in the end they both fall down on build quality, quality control and reliability. The Cougar is an amazing stick (though not for those without arms like Popeye) but has a very poor reputation and frankly seems to contain some fairly shoddy components. Logic3 Storm Pad Controller (PC)

The unit is well made and nice to look at. The driver will install under Vista but the key mappings don't seem to work. Support is via the logic3 website but they are a little slow to respond. The manual isn't very good. If you are using it with XP, then it would be a great bit of kit. I don't think that an update to Vista is high on the company's priorities.

Joytech USB Neo S Controller (PC)

I have been using this for a week now and am very happy with it. Design is pretty much identical to the original xbox controller (the smaller second edition version that is). It fits comfortably in the hands and all the buttons are well placed. It feels pretty sturdy and all the buttons feel to be good quality, as are the triggers and analog sticks. I even like the software supplied with it, which is very rare for me - it's simple and just does everything you need it to.

All in all a very good controller at a bargin price. Highly recommended.

ThrustMaster Run 'n' Drive 3-in-1 Rumble Force Controller (PC/PS2/PS3)

Firstly the fact that this is a 3 in 1 controller makes it a bargain. I haven't used it on PC (as I use Linux and it only works with Windows) and I don't have a PS3 to try it out on. But I have to say it works great on PS2. The shape will take some getting used to (it's similar to the original concept designs for the PS3 controller) but it's comfortable enough.
It has many features built into it that are pretty useful to have. The sensitivity of the analog sticks can be changed at any time and you can change what each of the buttons do by using some presets. The R2 and L2 buttons are actually on the back of the controller with an extra X and SQUARE buttons replacing them but all the usual buttons are here.
