James Bond 007: Nightfire (PS2)

A worthwhile entry to the 007 games but certainly not the best, some of the missions are super tough too which can be off-putting for general action fans. I would stick to Everything or Nothing or, the best of the series, Agent Under Fire.

I always look forward to Medal of Honor releases, ever since I had the joy of playing the original game back in 1999.
The game play is classic medal of honor. The levels are split between 4 campaigns taking you from the D-day landings to Operation Market Garden.
The graphics have improved since European Assult, but I felt the gameplay hadn't improved at all. Don't get me wrong the levels are enjoyable, they are no where near as good as some of the levels seen in rival games such as call of duty, or Brothers in Arms.
Medal of Honor games used to lead the way in new ideas for WWII shooters, but this lacks effort even the sound track is taken from previous instalments, and the game is way too short and can easily be completed in ... Read More:

I found this game to be rather fun, even though it came at the end of my PS2 era before going back to PC gaming.

I was not a big fan of earlier FF games (just not my style) but picked this one up on some weird impulse, as it was supposed be different. And is it. I'm not sure about the girlieisation, or the way the dresspheres work. But the action-point style combat was more fluid than I thought.

Things that impressed me:-
Graphics: Very good, Japanese-cartoony as one expects from anime style visualisation.
Setting: One of the few "worlds" that contains technology and magic, but doesn't fall on it's face.
Story: Reasonable, about what I would expect from this sort of game.

This game is well worth buying if you like war games.
I've always been a big Rambo fan, so this blew my mind!
The fact everything is destructable is something that for some reason had never been attempted before, and WOW it is so much fun haha.
It looks better than any other game ever has on ps2 with the possible exception of Resident Evil 4.
Totally awesome.
The problems are that the levels can become too long(one and a half hours for a level? jeez) but once you're on it you get engrossed so it ain't so bad anyway.
And the game itself seems a little short, mainly because you don't WANT it to end, I think it only has about 6 levels, but like I said they are very long.

well i love dthe first one but the second has progressed alott more, fixing many problems, the story line is more gripping the graphics and smoother, the levels are more diverse and now you have co-op not to forget the weapons, they make the game so much more fun, dramatic, and violent, this game was suprising from the very beggining and i mean, the very beggining as in the intro fmv. and the levels afterwards were just awesom i wotn spoil too muhc but.... swinging london! and loadsa beatles lookalikes haha, just get it, its so fun and will keep you hooked on violence and the awesom story line

terrible, terrible. do not buy this if you are expecting it to be like crash 2 and three. its dreadful!you just spend every level fighting to get into monster bodies. there is no goal or fun in this at all.

Well we had a long wait... but the good Doctor finally arrives as a console game. And it's rubbish ! The PS2 may not be the most advance console these days but this is more basic then some of the old games I played on my original ZX Spectrum.

The game is based on the top trumps card game and uses artwork from the recent Inifinite Quest animated adventure. I say artwork because their is virtually no animation to be found. The Doctor may nod his head or the Captain Jack open his mouth but don't expect any more cartoon adventures here. No opening title sequence, no voice overs, nothing.. it is literally playing a card game on a tv screen, with no thrills what-so-ever.

It is quite addictive as with all simple premise games but don't splash out ... Read More:

I find it strange that some people are berating the putting feature of the game. I really don't see how it could be any better, and as for people saying it is impossible I really don't see how. If anything the optional Putt Preview option makes putting ridiculously easy - I don't see how you could miss. Perhaps people who have complained have not liked the transition from older TW games where the putting was different - my advice would be to practice and you should easily get the hang of it.
