Castlevania: DXC is a game which hates its players with a passion. The difficulty curve could take down a 747, some of the monsters are just designed to screw you over with no mercy, you're sent way back to the start of the level if you run out of continues on any of the vast array of near-impossible bosses and to top it all off you have to UNLOCK Symphony of the Night. Advertising something on the back of the box and then secret having you unlock it via a secret level just isn't a good way to win your players over.

On the bright side, DXC doesn't suffer from the plague of re-used graphics which the DS games do, also the artwork doesn't look as if it was drawn by a 12-year old (more than you can say for Dawn of Sorrow).

If you don't really expect too much from the game, then I think it's quite enjoyable!
Yes, it is a bit repetitive, but it is also quite challenging in some parts.
The graphics and movements are good, and I feel it's a good game just to play about on.

Mind you i've only bought this game 4 hours ago but i've been playing it non-stop since then.

As the previous review stated, the menus have changed and the match games and loading times are quite a bit slower but the main reason for that seems because there's just so much more of the game than previous versions.

You now have oppertunities to hire new assistant managers and coaches, and there are ways of becoming involved on an international level too.

The game itself now has a 3d match engine and you're able to communicate with the entire team and individual players throughout a match.

Overall this game is a vast improvement on the previous versions. Even if it is a bit slower. But who on their ... Read More:

I have to disagree with Mark - there is an undo option in Practice games (use the L button). I haven't seen this on PC and I often don't like playing chess against a computer ('cos I hate getting beaten). However, the use of ELO ratings is the clincher since your rating goes up with wins and down with defeats but somehow I don't mind the beating when I get one for a rematch or alternative opponent gives you the chance to exact revenge and regain the good rating points (but learn from your mistakes or you could get another beating!) I also find the reviewing option for the game allows me to see where I could have done better and, if necessary, that game can be set up and played through again. Never thought I'd enjoy a computer chess opponent but this ... Read More:

I bought Spiderman 2 PSP with my PSP last Autumn even though I had read reviews stating it wasn't great. I have to say that the graphics are nice and so is the gameplay. However the camera system once again is awful and is hardly ever on your side.

Also sadly the game is rigidly level based like Spiderman 1 on the PS2 with a get from A to B and perhaps do C on route. Therefore that free roaming that made Spiderman 2 PS2 oh so beautiful and replayable is gone out of the window. Spiderman's webbing has also gone back to sticking to clouds somehow. Also there are not really any secret bonuses that are worthwhile to unlock and the way that, even if you save your game after a level, you have to go back and find the same secrets again and again ... It genuinely saddens me that a game as good as this can slip through the net without gaining the recognition that it deserves.

The fact that you get to control some of my favorite characters that aren't often represented in games, such as Green Lantern, Flash and Martian Manhunter is really pleasing in itself.

However, the strength of the game is considerable. OK, it's not revolutionary stuff, but it keeps you playing and keeps you interested. I feel it lends itself particularly well to the PSP platform because it's great for a quick pick-up-and-play, wherever you are, whenever it is, even if it's just for a quick five minute bash.

Highly recommended to gamers of all ages, especially as it can usually be found at such a bargainous ... Read More:

Don't you just hate it when there's a good promising game, with great ideas, good graphics, plenty to be getting on with, but it is sorely let down by frustratingly awkward controls & gameplay?!! Not that the puzzles are too hard, because you can always look it up on some web-site, but that, even armed with a good walthrough, some of the enemies are frustratingly difficult - even very early on!!! You just aren't given the chance to learn, as a couple of whacks and you're right back to square 1 !!!! Then its get up & go through the whole thing again (well, to be fair, only from the last save point - but that can seem a long way back when you have to re-do it a dozen or so times!!!). Perhaps the other reviewers are hardened gamers, or else they have more patience ... Read More:

This game is such a good game. You are allowed to do such cool things like create your own superstar who can usually beat anything, then create an entrance, then add a move set allowing you to customise your characters whole style from walking to finishers and finally put them in a tag team or even trio!!!

The Arcade mode is also good as you get to play three little mini games; Texas Hold 'Em Poker, Eugene airplane race or Smackdown Vs. Raw Questionare. Each is fun but the poker has to be the best.

Then there is the game itself. The actual wrestling is amazing and gives you a real sense of power no matter who you choose to play as against or with. The season mode is a little repetative but very fun and there are hundreds of modes to choose from in ... Read More:

Got this game on it's release date and still can't stop playing it. It has a lot of 'rewards' (extra bikes/helmets/videos/photos) to be unlocked by winning races and time trials, etc. Graphics (for a handheld) are very good and the action moves along at a fast pace. Handling is good and controllable - this is often poorly done on motorcycling games, but Namco have the physics about right.
With plenty of bikes to ride the replay value is extended by trying different championships (2005/2006) on bikes with less power, brakes or handling. See if you can rewrite history and take one of the bottom teams to the championship title.
Only downside is that there are only 8 tracks and not the complete calendar as raced in Moto GP.

Namco, please...please...please ... Read More:
