Mediocre is the best word I can think of for this game. It is basically your bog-standard platform game. Nothing really special. There aren't enough levels and some of them are quite repetitive, but on the other hand there are some quite inventive levels and mini games. Some small bits are also quite inventive, like using Oompa Loompas to help you, which involves a bit of strategic thinking. The one thing that annoyed me was that you cannot save until you get to the end of the level, and some of the levels are quite long. There are no checkpoints so if you lose all your lives you have to go right back to beginning of the level, even if you were nearly at the end! This can be quite frustrating if there's a hard bit near the end of a level that ... Read More:

When I got this game, I was so excited, and i was right to be. The game is great and, if i could, I'd spent the whole day on it. The graphics, for a GBA game, are incredible. Also you can buy clothes (e.g. bamdanas, tank tops, hats) for your dog, and the 'father' gives you a little peice of clothing for every time you get past a Love level. Furthermore, for every 4 peices of clothes you buy, you get a name (e.g. Fashion Emerald)

However, I feel this game is meant for younger people who are great dog lovers!

I hope I've helped you.

I was recommended this game by a friend. He claimed it to be better than Zelda, I had to try this out and see for myself as this is a pretty crazy claim.

I was not too suprised that it fell short of Zelda however I must admit it was fairly enjoyable. Storyline is good-ish. Gameplay is a bit repetitive but I manged to get through it (and I have a short attention span). I would recommend it to others but never over Zelda or FF

As a watcher of the cartoon series, this was my first purchase when buying my GBA. The duelling itself doesn't disappoint but the overall gameplay between duels is boring and repetitive. The so-named passengers with their sometimes inane comments are particularly maddening and their is sometimes no way of avoiding clicking on them in order to move from one area to another within the city.
That said the duelling system is excellent and the fact you can enter codes from the actual cards means you can build a pretty formidable deck in a short space of time.
New cards are unlocked each time you win and free cards are given with the weekly magazine and believe me in the early duels you'll need them as the initial deck given is quite tame.

Few handheld games let you play as one of three characters. This does and does badly!

Platform games on the GBA are ten a penny so they need to be outstanding to keep you interested. Castlevania is far better than this.

To highlight the main faults to this game I'd start by saying the controls are un-responsive, the graphics similar to Gameboy Colour and the gameplay repetitive.

Avoid at all costs.

My son Josh (aged 7 3/4) and I (a bit older) both love this game. Josh even prefers it to Pokemon currently which is saying something. I bought the game just before Christmas, and since Josh appropriated it from me, most of his Christmas presents haven't had much of a look in yet (Santa will not be happy!).

The battles are the main element of the game. The battles can be quite challenging to win without losing any of your team. You really do get to care about your team so we often find ourselves repeating a chapter several times (or more) to avoid losing anyone.

You act as the strategist for the team. To be successful you have to select the right team for each chapter and then use them as a team exploiting the strengths of each character ... Read More:

This game is FANTASTIC in many different ways:

1) Progressive and addictive storyline
2) Game made me feel genuine emotion, slight fear at times - like watching one of the less intence horror films. I have never experienced this with any other game
3) VERY addictive
4) The game lasts a very long time so its good value for money
5) Is intence, exciting and at times emotional
6) Noticable progression through the game as Samus gains more and more powers and upgrades
7) The game setting is vast - easily could get lost without on-screen maps
8) Can be paused at ant time and can be saved regurarly - I have never been in a position with the game where I was going to lose data

Overall rating 5/5

This is a fantastic little game and far outstrips either of the two previous Spyro GBA titles, and is equally appealing to those who are new to the Spyro series and to those for whom this is their first Spyro experience.
The new emphasis on puzzle-solving and exploring is a new one for Spyro, and is a welcome change. It also translates much better to the handheld format than the pure action of the past games. The graphics are very polished, sparkly and cheerfully-coloured - it's rather like the sort of landscapes you see in dreams. It might even be enough to make you wonder what the developers were on - this title is genuinely funny (past games have felt a little forcedly so), and wonderfully surreal - various puzzles will have you trying to put back together a rabbit ... In the game you can choose between team Bandicoot or team Cortex and once you've complete it on Bandicoot you'll unlock some Characters and then you can complete it on Cortex's team and unlock some more characters!!! And it's got a secret minigame on it called Crash Party if you keep holding L and R when you turn your GBA on until Crash Party comes up you'll get it ! 9 out of 10

Reccommended!!

Being a huge fan of the fire emblem series, i have played this one alot more than the first fire emblem before it, and the gamecube fire emblem. when i think about it the game is actually longer than the previous gba fire emblem as even though there are about 10 - 15 less chapters, it allows you to continue the saved game after completion to allow you to raise every unit you have to the max. It also allows you to unlock more playable characters as you play through the extra areas such as the tower and the ruins.

Extra features added since the previous game include
- A map which you are able to navigate by yourself, allowing you to purchase weapons and items before you go into battle, and to battle other monsters that have appeared, and to battle through ... Read More:
