I really liked "Shadow of Chernobyl". The atmosphere and mood were second to none, but despite patches and mods, it was still broken, buggy and unstable and eventually I reached a point where the broken scripting prevented me from continuing.
I was really hoping that "Clear Sky" would provide the same level of mood and involvement, whilst fixing all the bugs and becoming a playable product.
Wrong.
It's still full of random crashes, broken missions and a multitude of annoyances. The setting (after 3-4 hours playtime) seems to be less characterful than SoC.
I've applied both patches, to no avail. It's also particularly annoying that saved games are not compatible with the patches so you end up doing the very dull and repetitive ... Read More:

Well... I haven't exactly pre-ordered it YET but I will do, soon. I own this game for my PS3 and I've had great fun with it. The possibilities will be endless in the PC version (not literally) of this game, modding, new features and hopefully the system requirements won't be as demanding as Cryis, even though they're two completely different genres. Only 45 days, 2 hours, 55 minutes and 30 seconds, but hey, who's counting?

WoW is undoubtably the greatest game created so far. I have to agree with those who warn of possible addiction. It will take months to get to level 70 (soon to be level 80) and that is where the game really begins. You will then meet people who will really show you what a noob (novice) you are and this is after several months of playing! The game is so time consuming that at the top level you haven't got time to do both PvE (player v the environment) and PvP (player v player) so you have to specialise to become really good in one or the other.
The game reigns supreme but it does have its competitors. Warhammer Online has just been realised and may prove to be as good (doubtful as I find the combat ponderous). The next expansion for WoW is ... Read More:

Perhaps I was wrong to expect more from it, but it seemed like there just weren't enough new items in this pack to justify the cost. Colour options are quite limited, so you can't always get the shape of sofa you like, for example, to match the colours in the rest of the room, and a lot of the things that I've seen at Ikea and would want to have appeared in the game weren't included. I think they picked the most popular Ikea products, and though I find it funny that the sims can now have a bookshelf identical to mine, there's not much variety, and the designs chosen are mostly the simpler, boxy ones, rather than anything more daring. Although it's called 'Home stuff', you basically get items for a few styles of living room, study and bedroom - there's nothing ... Read More:

So here we are again, ready for another Konami offering of PES. Keep in mind that i have only played the demo (pc) so i won't get too excited here!
I can understand the complaints people had over PES 2008 - yes it had bugs but overall, i felt the series was taking positive steps forward. This year, the ref's decisions are better and helps improve game flow. Offside decisions are still late but you could argue this is realistic!! As for teamplay, your teammates run into space better often holding up their hands for possession. I was able to play a lofted through ball from one side of the pitch to the other with relative ease. I think this game can be a big success if the public are patient with it.
Overall, a good demo and i look forward to ... Read More:

If you've bought the other expansion packs, then you're probably going to buy this one anyway, so why bother reading the reviews? :-)
However, if you haven't bought them all and want to cherry-pick the expansions (or you only want one expansion or something), I'd say that this is the one you should get. The "weather" is very well-done and affects your Sims in realistic ways, and of course the weather brings lots of exciting things such as lightning strikes, snowmen, leaf piles and sunburn. You can control the cycle of the seasons for each neighbourhood (and sub-hood thereof), so you can have a perpetually sunny desert neighbourhood, or a snowy wonderland all year round.
The harvestable crops and trees are a much-needed addition to the game, ... Read More:

This compliation brings together Medieval total war 2 and the expansion 'Kingdoms'. It includes a thorough guide for each and if my experience is anything to go by then it loads and plays without flaws or fuss. This is very similar in looks and feel to Rome total war but this later incarnation is more sophisticated and complex.
Rome is fantastic, quite possibly the best pc game of this genre so far which means Medi 2 (this game) has its work cut out if it is going to impress. And impress it does. On a 1650*1080 screen the units look absolutely amazing with layers and layers of detail. When units come together to fight on the battle field the little choreographed sequences look realistic and are thoroughly involving.
