For some reason the beginning really turned me off, but once I got over this I really got into The Witcher. The story is great, and the quest tracker works brilliantly. It also looks great, and should look even better when the new version comes out next month, which by the way is absolutely free if you already own the original. The combat works well, with some extremeley satisfying moves and spells, and you really get your money's worth in terms of gameplay time. The 322mb patch also seems to sort out any stability issues. I'm giving it a five because,so far, I've never enjoyed exploring a fantasy world so much as I have done in The Witcher.

Now I really enjoyed this game but it seems others have a different view so ok lets try to clear things up.

Step 1
A) If you did not enjoy this game or feel you may not enjoy this game then do not continue - this is not for you
B) If you enjoyed the story of the Tiberium Saga so far and wish to learn more about the game and its story then move to Step 2

Step 2
Ok good. Basiclly this game is a full NOD campaign which is hinted by the games title >_> for those not guessing already!
It takes places BEFORE tiberium wars (number 3) then sets itself during 3 and then AFTER 3 (setting itself for number 4)
I wont spoil it for you but saying any of the story but its GOOD!!

This game is great. Not brilliant. You get much better clothing than any other 'Stuff' packs, and if you have open for buisness you can create really jazzy buisnesses with all the H&M stuff. Overall 3/5. It lost 2 marks because it is so much better with Open For Buisness.

Seriously, Soulstorm just isn't worth paying anything extra for really.

For a lot of people there's been on big problem, and that's that the game won't install as it won't register in some peoples DVD ROMs, maybe that's down to the DVDROMs, but it still seems stupid as Dark Crusade (also DVD ROM only) works just fine. Other ideas have been down to copy protection. Either way, it's not really acceptable. So I've had to play my friends copy on his computer.

Another thing is this game was rushed, simple as that, whether this has anything to do with Dawn of War II is another matter but so many little details and finishes have been missed in this one and this is one thing that can let a game down big time, almost makes me glad I can't install ... I do not think any words will do justice for this game, so I will keep this very short and to the point:
-Good things: everything really, graphics are superb, the strategy itself, the battles are just the best thing i have ever seen on a pc screen, extremely addictive game, i spent almost 9 hours on it when I first installed it, and the only thing that kept me from going on was having to go to work. Very enjoyable to play, and unlike other strategy games where you spend lots of time gathering resources then you lose in 10 seconds, this is something a lot more thought provoking, and needs some real skills.
Bad points: you need a very good PC to play this game, and a large amount of Rams, the more the better.

Space Siege (PC)

Think carefully before you buy this, it not an RPG, it's a shooter, and not a particularly good example of the genre to boot.

There is no loot system, all mobs drop generic parts that you use to upgrade your weapons and armour. Weapons are fed to you at pre determined points in the game as are cybernetic `upgrades'. If you're looking for customisable characters, armour sets, paperdoll style menu etc. you aren't going to find them in this game, despite the misleading references to dungeon siege on the box.

There is no AI for either the enemy mobs or your robot sidekick, he will gladly charge into a group of mobs even if he's down to his last HP and does not use any of his special abilities unless you manually select them.

This is one of the worst fps games I have ever played, I was expecting a lot more with this one. I do very much enjoy fps games as it is my favourite genre, Bioshock is deceived to be one of the best fps games ever created, which is of course based on own opinions but I feel that it is too over rated. The graphics are amazing I'll give it that, but the gameplay is very repetative, the story is something quite origional but not strong enough to keep me gripped.

Overall boring game but good graphics.

The Sims 2: Nightlife Expansion Pack (PC CD)

I don't own any other Sims 2 expansions so I can't really compare it to much, but I did find that it contributed very little considering the price.

The only real perks of owning this is that you can own a car (far too much hype about this considering it's merely there for aesthetic purposes), the ability to become a vampire, and extra places to visit 'downtown', which all look the same anyway..

However, some of the new objects are quite impressive (especially for those who like turning their sims homes into pent houses and clubs!) and the two new hair styles were desperately needed.

All in all, I'd only recommend this game to a dedicated Sims fan and not to the casual gamer. Personally I'm looking forward to getting my hands on apartment life and open for business!

Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut Edition (PC)

I fully agree with a previous reviewer. The game get harder as you progress. Lot's of annoying impediments to your main task. But is it perhaps the boredom factor creeping in. It seem's to throw everything at you in the first 2 missions and then it's the same again, but more frustrating. Unlike games like MoH, CoD, NOLF, etc where each episode is in a different environment AC puts you in exactly the same environment with identical NPC's, and identical tasks.

Buy it cheap and be prepared for only a limited amount of enjoyment.

Graphically it is excellent. But the gameplay is really repetitve.
