I found a copy of this in my local pawn shop and just seeing the cover brought back memories! Man, you forget how hard older games can be these days! I mean yeah you blitz through the levels on the easy setting (takes a little time getting used to the unique style of gameplay, but then again which games dont!) but im still strugling on the hard setting(and theres an expert after that!). Exactly the same tracks but opposition get nasty! You travel so fast in the game that if someone gives you a hard enough nudge to the back wheel (and they do!) you will be skidding, driving up walls, and probably cursing! World's scariest police chases could possibly be the best game to be created in the history of gaming. There are two game play modes: Pursuit mode, the main game where you train and eventually work as a police officer, stopping criminals. There is also Free mode, this lets you drive around the huge (and crime infested) city of Ashland, stopping crime as you please. This mode also opens up new areas of the city to start from, such as the Beach or Police accademy.
For a Playstation One game the graphics and AI are very good. I am very good at driving games but am challeged by the criminals abillities. The missions are not so hard that you throw your controller down in rage, but not so easy that a monkey could do it. The balance is perfect! ... Read More:

to put it simply, they both have appalling graphics and pretty good gameplay. But if you don't care about the players either having a white blob or a brown blob for a head, then buy this game. However, if you can, i would reccommend just buying Jonah lomu, cos brian lara is a little bit repetitive and dull, like cricket itself. but they are both enjoyable games and fun muck around games with your mates. only buy it if you have tried most kinds of games and are still bored cos there are lots of better games out there. i would give it 4 stars if Jonah lomu came on its own, cos brian lara is actually very boring and overall pretty c**p. BUT JONAH LOMU HAS MUCH BETTER GAMEPLAY THAN ANY OF THE EA RUGBY SERIES. and it comes much cheaper.

Bust A Move 2 - Platinum (PS)

The premise couldn't be simpler: shoot bubbles at other bubbles and combine three of the same colour to make them disappear. Veteran players will learn to build huge stalactites and then drop them for all sorts of bonuses. Do it against opponents in versus mode and it adds bubbles to their screen. There you have Bust a Move in a nutshell.

Bust a Move 2 is up there with Tetris in the puzzle gaming hall of fame and it if didn't have such a naff one player game it would probably be the superior of the two. And by that I do mean that Bust a Move 2 excels when human players compete against each other in either battle mode (when bubbles popped directly effect the opponent's screen) or time attack (the first one to clear their screen of bubbles).

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six (PSone)

This is the first ever rainbow 6 and is in a league of it's own. although the graphics are pretty bad what do you expect from a game that is about as old as the console you play it on. A great a array of weapons and gadgets give you the ability to do just about anything you could do in real life. It's near perfect balance of stealth and 'kill everything that moves' give every gamer an enjoyable ride. The only anoying thing that makes it miss five stars is in the missions with hostages the hostages themselves are both very slow and unbelivably stupid. They follow you but take the shortest rout towards you, with a blatent disregard for the laws of physics, 'no that wall wont let you through...........even if you ask nicely'.

South Park Value Series

I was given this for a Christmas present once and having played the so-bad-it-was-actually-great "Chef's Love Shack", was looking forward to it. I should'nt have bothered.
The graphics were awful to the point that the gameplay was infringed. Gameplay? Well you shoot something, run around and shoot something else, like a lot of turkeys. The game doesnt improve the further you play either.
Its saving grace is its deathmatch mode for multiplayer mayhem, only its collision detection is so bad you might hit someone, but its not regestered.
Avoid at all costs. If you want something South Park related, choose Chef's Love Shack instead. At least when that game got it wrong, it was still helerious to attempt playing it!

James Bond 007: The World is Not Enough & Tomorrow Never Dies Twin Pack

Tomorrow Never Dies is baced around the film. You must shoot dive and ski thought 10 levels to get to Bond's man. You have loads of different weapons to keep you busy and Q-lab gagets to get you out of those tight corners. This third person shooter's auto aiming system is poor and when you are on the skis you don't feel that you're in control. The car level has only 2 weapons which are quite boring and lackes that certain Bond feel about it.

The World Is Not Enough also has 10 levels but no car chase. It has over 20 Q-Lab gagets to blast those bad guys to an early grave. The auto aiming is better in this one and there are more weapons to choose from. The levels are all in different loations with their own objectives.

Pink Panther (Psone)

This is an excellent game. Brilliant graphics (for a PSone). Outstanding funky soundtrack. excellent simple gameplay. My 7year old son & 4 year old daughter love playing this game as much as I do. It's such a refreshing change to playing a game that doesn't involve crawling about a sewer waiting to crack someone over the head with a crowbar.

Can't go wrong for a few quid either. Buy it

FIFA Soccer 96 (PS)

Duke Nukem

This has to be one of my personal favourite ever first person shooters. I can remember buying ths in either 1997 or 1998 not long after I had completed the truly outstanding DOOM and was hungry for more FPS action and Duke Nukem did very nicely. It plays and looks very similar to DOOM only it is set in a futuristic Los Angeles. But what I personally really loved about Duke Nukem was it's unique and magical sense of humour that sadly I just don't see in that many video games.

From the very first level on a roof of a building and Duke says in a wonderfully deep and sincere voice DAM, THOSE ALIEN B*****DS ARE GONNA PAY FOR SHOOTING UP MY RIDE, I just knew that I was going to love this game about murderous aliens that have taken over the city and humans ... Read More:
