The very best sequels are those that take everything good from their predecessors and expand upon it. Happily, RE2 does exactly that.
Noticeably larger than RE, RE2 moves from a post-apocalyptic suburb to a deserted police station, a sewer system and a laboratory. The puzzles are back, as are the trademark, shuffling zombies (along with new, deadlier enemies). The weapon count is also dramatically increased (which, I would say, was the one flaw with RE). Another significant addition is the extra scenarios for each character, which can be accessed once the main games have been completed.
Despite all this, however, the game retains everything that made RE great. The wonderful "tank" control system is still present, the ... Read More:
Despite what Namco developers say, there really hasn't been much improvement made in the Tekken system since Tekken 3. While newer installments have better graphics and more characters, the third perfected the form that two helped define. Notice how I fail to mention the stepping stone of the original? That's because its awful to look at, awful to play, awful to think about and awful to bring up in the bedroom or at a funeral. None of the newest characters are as interesting, popular or fun to play as Hwoarang, Xiaoyu or Jin Kazama were back in the day. Both options for the music are excellent, the endings are great, the game is funny as hell and the story is the best in years. Tekken 3 really excels in contemporising the series. While 1 and 2 ... This is a great game with a workout mode that lets you burn lots of calories, listen and dance at the same time as having fun! It has four differant levels to each song (the basic "beginner", "standard" and "difficult" with an extra one thrown in for "experts". As you work through the levels you will be introduced to new charactures who will dance along in front of phycadellic backgrounds! There are also loads of songs to chose from, ranging from very slow to VERY FAST! BUT...The only problem is that this is a wonderful game for beginners, if you are like me, you will want more. I have heard of games that let you make your own sequences up and have arrows that dissapear, when i found out that my game had very few of those features, i was a little depressed. but ... Unfortunately for us European gamers, Squaresoft and Nintendo felt that we wouldn't embrace the RPG genre during the 16 bit Super Nintendo era. Therefore, we missed out on several exceptional games from that time, one of those being Final Fantasy VI.
Ever since Final Fantasy VII became a smash hit worldwide, many had been curious about previous entries in the franchise, and Squaresoft was happy to ablige by releasing ports in either compilation packs (Final Fantasy Origins and Anthology) or stand-alone entries like this one. It seems, however, that Squaresoft was so eager to get these games released into the market, that they neglected to iron out various emulation problems.
Since Final Fantasy VI was a game designed to run on a cartridge based ... Read More:

After the great success of 'Disney Pixar Cars' game last year, comes a sequel for next gen consoles.
What's great about that is it takes (almost) full advantage to the PS3 capabilities letting the player explore Radiator Springs & 2 other locations; Ornament Valley & Tailfin Pass. Now the reason why I said "almost" is the 3 locations are some what short, it'll probably take less than 20mins to explore the whole area (of 1 location). But still, if you seen the film 'Cars', it plays closely to the layouts of the little town, so in other words, you've already familiar with the place.
The graphics are stunning, everything is like the real world (surroundings and environments) yet kept the magical Pixar quality in the cars.
I suppose I wanted to love this game right from the start, so I deliberately tried to turn a blind eye to its faults (of which there are many) and focus on the good bits. The good: it's Star Wars on a console and, at the time, there was not a massive choice of decent Star Wars games for those of us without a PC. As a Star Wars game, the sound effects are superb - lightsabers whirl, blasters fire and John Williams' soundtrack plays lusciously throughout. It follows the events of 'The Phantom Menace' with a little creative license and is suitably maddening to keep you either coming back for one more go or looking for a somewhere to bury the game in the garden! And now the bad: I had to look for hints and tips on the web to help me get through some of this. There are elements of ... Read More:
