I was really enjoying playing this game and looking forward to getting past the many weak computer opponents to get to take on the 'big boys' at world championship level. However, when I got there (losing only two games to one opponent on the way) I found that all of the games at world championship level are timed. This would not be such a bad idea for a different challenge if the clock was set at a reasonable amount of time. However against the WEAKEST opponent at world championship level you have only 5 minutes on the clock to get through an entire game! The computer opponent usually moves almost straight away and can lay all its tiles on the board in one go. You on the other hand have no time at all to work on your letters and lose every ... Trying to describe this game to another person is hard, particularly if you want to get accross how addictive and fun it is! I try with friends, 'you go around catching fish and bugs and making friends, buying stuff and doing favours'. To which the usual reply is why? where does it end? Well.. it doesn't! And that is one of the things that I love!! You can do literally what you want to do, collect what you want without having to be tied to a boring 'mission' whose illusive completion prevents you from progressing in the game!
For those who do like a bit of a challenge there is the paying of the mortgage, but this can be done 'as and when' rather than being a necessity. The game is played in real time so at 11pm in the real world ... Read More:
Realism has robbed this game of fun. Perhaps it's more of a game when you level it up to the supercars. But I'll never find out: I couldn't race titchy hatchbacks round the same five boring tracks without wanting to cry.

After having the previous two installments of Call of Duty 2 & 3 on Xbox 360 which were both set in world war 2, I was at first, a little dubious about the switch to modern day. I love WW2 games, CoD 3 was a shining example of a classic WW2 title, epic, cinematic battles, great visuals, and a fantastic array of weaponry really set the game apart from its competitors. Online is where Cod 3 excelled. It was awesome. Enough Said. Number 4 has a lot to live up to.
On to the new version. Firstly the campaign. It is nothing short of epic. Every level is a masterpiece in engaging the player in the surroundings and sucking them into enormous firefights that are truly spectacular. The atmosphere in the levels is very intense and leads to an extremely ... Read More:

This is a good game, as much fun as Lego Star Wars. In fact, it's the same game in different clothes. But without the satisfaction of the Jedi Slam. My main issue with it (despite the 4 stars) is that it has a habit of crashing silently at the end of levels. Not crashing altogether, but just failing to provide the actions needed to finish the level, so you can keep playing for hours and never find out what you need to do. Very frustrating, and it always happens at the *end* of a level. e.g. today I was playing a level that involved scaring flocks of seagulls. I think the final flock needs to be scared by firing a bazooka at the cliffs, but as I only got one once, got killed, and no soldiers appeared after that, I won't know until I've replayed the level. This happens on ... Read More:
