When i bought this game, i wasn't expecting much, but i was pleasantly surprised.Although the game can grow a little monotonous if you play it too much, when playing with friends it is great fun. You can play with up to 3 other people and whether your playing with young gamers or adults, the game can be very entertaining.
However the game is rather short and could do with a few more levels. It's a very easy and laid-back game that can be completed in a couple of hours.
Definately not for someone who wants a challenge but it's worth having just to muck around on with mates.

Yes, as you probably know, this game has no real relationship to Goldeneye on the N64. It was probably a huge mistake of EA to attach the Goldeneye name to the title, from the start this created an impossible comparison that EA could never really hope to match. This has led to Rogue Agent being cursed by an entire generation of gamers when, in fact, it's a very good game.
It actually has more in common with last year's Perfect Dark Zero and the now standard Halo than Rare's classic Goldeneye. Rogue Agent isn't particularly original but then it doesn't need to be; The level design is competent and entertaining, the enemy AI is excellent and the graphics are nothing amazing but very nice.

If there were any First-Person-Shooter, which is extremely difficult and challenging to complete, I would say it would be Far-Cry Instincts. I thought at first Half-Life was challenging, but Far-Cry Instincts really packs in a good old punch!

My brother already owned this game as he got it for a bundle price, but while we went for our little holiday in August 2006, I saw this game on offer for about £15, so I thought I'd give it a bash and see what it's like! It's a long off game but overall, it took me a whopping 5 months (January-May 2007) to complete 1 profile of the game!

Far-Cry was originally released in 2004 for the PC, but because of it's success, Ubisoft (Producer) wanted to create a Far-Cry game for the Microsoft XBox! ... Read More:

I bought this when I found out it was backwards compatible and wanted something to wet my WWII FPS appetite until MOH Airborne comes out. I'll start by saying that the graphics are some of the best current-gen (or last-gen, or whatever) graphics I've seen. The gameplay is good and solid, apart from the annoyingly weak 30 calibre machine guns. Also there were too many of those dull missions where you get stuck in a tank or on a mounted machine gun.
However the attempt at making you care about your squad pretty much failed. You only get a sort of (without sounding too nerdy) game relationship with them if you listen intently during cutscenes, and even then it's shakey at best.
All in all though, a good game and worth the fiver I paid for it.

First time I played this game, it brought back memories of Driver, although this game is a lot more about the racing than it is about chases.

You can either play a career game where you get to fight your way up to the top challenging 15 rivals, there's a challenge mode where you have to complete challenges (60 of them or so) I didn't play many of these as I had done similar things in the career mode anyway, and then there's multiplayer, which I haven't player either on or off-line so I don't know what this mode is like. In career mode there is a list of requirements that you need to complete before you can challenge the next rival.

I payed the original, and i rated it as one of the most original fighting games ever - using weapons instead of fists really does give each fighter a unique style all their own. So when i patched my Xbox360 in order to play the sequel - it was with great anticipation that i sat down to play.

The basics are the same - each fighter has their weapon and fighting style and there are a host of new characters available. But it is the little things that were left out (from the original) which i found disappointing :

1) When you block/guard - you weapon no longer takes damage. This in the original was a superb feature : a player was often forced to go on the offensive as their blade came close to breaking - i am mystified as to why this was dropped.

Def Jam Fight For NY (Xbox)

I'm not the greatest fan in fighting games but apart from WWE/WWF, I think what we have here, is one of the best fighting games money can buy in all!

Def Jam: Fight For New York is the sequel to Def Jam: Vendetta. However, this is the first Def Jam game for the Microsoft XBox Video Game Console, because Def Jam: Vendetta was not released for Microsoft XBox!

I already owned the Playstation 2 Version of this game as I got that for Christmas, but when I got my XBox in 2006 and WHSmith was doing an XBox Clearout Sale, this game was on offer for just about £6 so I decided to get it, even though I already had it for Playstation 2!

After playing all previous Star Wars games, i was expecting too much. The game was too easy and way too short, if you compare it with the Jedi Knights and Knights of the Old Republic games, which were all brilliant and seemed to go on forever.

If your looking for a quick, easy, fun game this is it. If your looking for a challenging, engrossing game go for the Knights of the Old Republic or Jedi Knights games.

I've not played any Crash games since the days of the SNES, so I had no preconceptions of what I would be in for. I'd bought this because my girlfriend was tired of me playing nasty games full of blood and guts, and didn't expect to enjoy it at all.

I was so wrong.

The gameplay is sometimes irritating with its reliance on savepoints, but the plot and humour kept me interested. When Crash first catches up with Dr Cortex and you have to fight him for the power crystal, I laughed so hard I cried. The fight which then ensues was pure genius, though what they did may have been seen before by others. The humiliskate levels brought tears to my eyes again - this time whenever I ground a rail.

Nothing else but great. I laughed out loud at some of the cutscenes...eg. a load of lego workmen spinning around on chairs when Darth inspects the Death Star. The graphics are excellent and the whole package works well. Not just for kids.
