It's a memory card that lets you save your progress and profile. I can get 5 or 6 arcade games on here that can be transported between my XBoxes (does not work with Sega Vintage Collection games, eg. Sonic).

But, it is still just a memory card. Why it should cost so much to fit in a proprietary slot remains a mystery. More overpriced hardware by MS.

Stranglehold is an all action shoot 'em up which is great fun while it lasts. A lot of complaints have been made that it's too short. I agree to a certain extent but because the game play is virtually the same throughout I don't think it could have been stretched much further.

The action is some of the most exciting ever seen on a games console and the way the scenery is destroyed adds to the immersion. Usually the damage to scenery in other shooters is minimal. In Stranglehold the damage is remarkable. Almost everything can be shot. During a gunfight, tables are knocked over, bottles smashed, concrete form pillars is smashed off and in one level even fish tanks can be shot spilling the contents all over the floor. I ordered this game expecting something epic. What I got was something ... not. Don't get me wrong, it looks (as countless others have stated) quite simply breathtaking, but I'm afraid in this case it's just mutton dressed as lamb.

So what's wrong with it? Well, for one thing there's no save option, and the game only auto-saves at the end of each mission. I read a review where someone said that it could take up to 2 hours to complete missions, and at the time thought it couldn't POSSIBLY take that long. How wrong I was. Some even took longer. That's all right if you're a hard-core gamer, but for the short-session gamer its a bit too much to suffer.

It is a great game, very addictive with a good song set.

Only one problem.

Hammer ons and pull-offs are suprisingly difficult. In Guitar Hero 3, you can pull off of one note and leave the colour for the next note on and it will hit it. In Guitar Hero 2, you have to make sure the colour is pressed EXACTLY as you go over the note, which makes a hard solo even harder to get through.


But it is still a brilliant game. Recommended for all.

I have played both xbox and xbox 360 versions, the xbox version is a lot more fun. The xbox 360 version i died a lot, and if i wasnt dying i was wondering why my team mates weren't doing what i wanted them to do. The missions are a lot more fun on the original xbox, team mates are easier to control, weapon selection is wider. Basically, the original xbox version kicks the xbox 360 versions ass!!!

If you liked Forza and PGR3 + 4 before, you will find this brings a new level to your racing games. Since I got this a week ago, I hav barely been off Forza2 and my mates are coming round all the time to play too!

A fantastic piece of kit and very very recommended to enhance all your racing games
