I'm not usually a fan of mindless shooting\fighting\survival horror type games (sorry people but Halo etc just doesnt float my boat') but this is different. Ok it does involve a whole load of shooting people with various weapons but it also has a very deep story line. I think it was the story that got me hooked - i liked the whole ruined city under the sea idea. I also found the people in the game creepy...not creepy like the zombies in Resident Evil but creepy because they were more human like. The story unfolds at a decent pace as you find audio recordings, video clips and diary type entries along your way. Slowly you start to understand your place in the story.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (Xbox 360)

First off let me say ive always been a massive fan of the Pro Evolution series and I have owned every one ever right from the first on the Playstation called ISS Pro I still play Pro Evo 4 on the PS2 and Pro Evo 6 on my pc but as far as my Xbox 360 is concerned there has yet to be anything like a next generation game.
Pro evolution 08 on Xbox360 is dreadful for a start the gameplay is too fast. Gone are the great hard fought 1-0 wins now its likely to be a 5-5 draw in 10 minutes. It has become a pinball speed type arcade game with some players running like Olympic sprinters on steroids. The graphics are poor and the editor is next to useless. I just hope Pro Evo 09 will be good but so far on the next generation consoles Konami have failed to produce ... Read More:

I got this for gears of war and assassins' creed, works brilliantly, I even got the wireless xbox headset to go with it. If you like gaming with controllers instead of keyboard and mouse you cannot go wrong with this.

In my opinion a vast game with many locations which can be reached on foot (watch out as you walk the streets as you might be held up at gun point)or by subway (or tank when you go back in time to WW1, I haven't completed the game yet, although I must be near it, so I couldn't comment if there any other modes of getting arround). There is a story line that reads like a paperback with twists and turns involving lots of small side tasks which you can either agree to do or decline. Graphics are quite good as is the sound/music. You are eased into the controls as you progress and gather more weapons. Not wanting to give too much away a really good game, which if you stay with it, it will grow on you. I must admit when i first started playing this game i loved it. As time passed i began to lose interest in the game. Not because of graphical or gameplay issues, just because of the storyline and limitations of weapons you can use in this.

I do recommend this to all those horror nuts out there who are looking for a scare but to all others i suggest you think before you buy.

Overall this isn't a MUST BUY, but is a worthy addition to your 360 collection.

Having not played the game for a while I decided to dust it off at the weekend and give it another go. As soon as it loaded up I remembered why I have spent over 100 hours on it to date (and still not even close to completing it!).

For a game which is now over two and a half years old the graphics are still amazing with stunning sunsets, beautiful night skies and colourful free worlds to roam. I have fallen in love with this game all over again.

It is difficult not to be drawn into the world of Oblivion as everything is realised in such great detail and you get immersed in the storyline from the very beginning.

Anyone who does not already have this game should go out and buy it immediately, as there is nothing that comes even close to matching it. I just ... Read More:

I'm a little disappointed with Codemasters' decision to gradually dumb-down their once sim-orientated games. I understand they are in business and need maximise customers, but why can't we have sim options which can be turned on and off? If they're worried about marketing, they could bury these options in the manual - reviewers would still pick up on them. I remember the great TOCA on PS1, then gradually over the years the games have lost their sim edge. I also cannot stand the Americanism and constant guide voice from an American - this is nothing against America but it just seems so out of context.

Graphics look very good in parts, especially cars, damage, and roadside scenery, but the framerate does suffer quite a bit. It will be interesting to see whether any developers manage to ... Read More:

This was the first xbox 360 game i bought and thought it was really good! I was a bit worried about buying it at first because i was worried it would be just another mildly amusing, game that would take about 2 hours to complete. As it turned out it was completley the opposite! It's original, fun to play and will keep you entertained for hours on end. I would recommend it for a first-time game to anybody with an xbox 360, wii etc.
My only trouble with it is that it is sometimes a bit to difficult to figure out how to do things, like find collectables or get to a certain lever. I think the age rating is partly that anybody younger might (and i say might!) have trouble working out what to do.
