Condemned : Criminal Origins has become something of a cult classic since its release in 2005 and I for one was greedily awaiting the follow up, Bloodshot, this year. Sadly, it wasn't worth the wait.
What made the original special was the tense, claustrophobic atmosphere which took it's lead from movies like Seven, Silence of the Lambs and Saw. Sure it had it's flaws. The combat system, especially the blocking, was very temperamental and the forensic investigation sections where little more than point and click exercises. Nevertheless, playing this game with the light off was a bone chilling and memorable experience. Who could forget the department store level when the mannequins silently surround you or having to take the close ... Read More:

Okay, well to start off with i should just drop in that i am a bit of spiderman fanboy, and own all the games, including spiderman 3 on ps2.
All the movie games so far have been incredible, number one revolutionised visuals for the ps2, and number two revolutionised gameplay. As far as i'm concerned this next-gen spidey game has taken all the best elements from its pre-decessors and made a very impressive piece of software. Why specifically? Well ...
First the swinging, which, for any fan is a vital concept in a spidey game, and i am pleased to say that this 360 super hero doesn't fail to deliver. The physics engine is more impressive than it's ever been and swinging through New York feels deliciously real. I have to say however ... Read More:

I'm a little disappointed with Codemasters' decision to gradually dumb-down their once sim-orientated games. I understand they are in business and need maximise customers, but why can't we have sim options which can be turned on and off? If they're worried about marketing, they could bury these options in the manual - reviewers would still pick up on them. I remember the great TOCA on PS1, then gradually over the years the games have lost their sim edge. I also cannot stand the Americanism and constant guide voice from an American - this is nothing against America but it just seems so out of context.
Graphics look very good in parts, especially cars, damage, and roadside scenery, but the framerate does suffer quite a bit. It will be interesting to ... Read More:

This was the first xbox 360 game i bought and thought it was really good! I was a bit worried about buying it at first because i was worried it would be just another mildly amusing, game that would take about 2 hours to complete. As it turned out it was completley the opposite! It's original, fun to play and will keep you entertained for hours on end. I would recommend it for a first-time game to anybody with an xbox 360, wii etc.
My only trouble with it is that it is sometimes a bit to difficult to figure out how to do things, like find collectables or get to a certain lever. I think the age rating is partly that anybody younger might (and i say might!) have trouble working out what to do.

This is an almost identical review to the guy before me, except I started on COD4 (still loving it), COD3 (let down, will never play again) and now COD2 (brilliant).
Can't believe I almost missed this little gem.......can't believe how much fun it is shooting Germans.......it never seems to wear thin.
You should probably read the other reviews for more game info. I'm just here to recommend this game. It's fun, it's varied, no enormous cut scenes like COD3 (I hated that), straight into the action......Quality.
The reason why Infinity Ward are walking on water these days!!

I can't believe how let down by this game i was.
Having played the pc version of this game (and it was absolutely fantastic) i expected the 360 version to be at least on a par with it.
How wrong i was. The graphics on this game are absolutely shocking.
The pc version leaves it dead and buried. As for the game play,i don't
find it very user friendly. Try as i might(and believe me,i have tried
very hard)i just can't find anything good to say about this version of the game. It's a real shame as i bought this on the back of playing the pc version and having seen the fantastic graphics on other xbox 360 games
i expected something special from this. But hey!!!...this is just my humble opinion. Some will love it....some will hate it. Make up your ... Read More:

Okay, I liked the first game and finished it on Warrior. This second game I finished on hard but hated (with a vengeance) an awful lot of it - its incredibly sloppy in places for an otherwise polished game.
Theres two types of game like this: ones where the bosses are rock hard and have little strategy, and then the others like God of war 2 which have actual tactics and challenge.
Ninja Gaiden falls into the category of just being rather difficult and more often than not simply because the camera gets stuck pointing the wrong way, and because bosses (in particular a giant armadillo) sometimes fill up the whole screen with effects making it difficult to actually fight with any precision (so they then make you fight two at once- which comes down to luck more than skill in ... Well I spend my life now in limbo between this gorgeoulsy looking football game with nice basic controls and just a good old kick around and Mass Effect. Granted there is room for improvement in the game but its a bit like a movie that you love because it is so easy to watch and does not ask too much of you. This is great!

Now I might be a masocist, but I loved the game. Yes I have lost many an hour trying to drive to Central Park, but I can now do it it 2 or 3 trys now (and aint I proud lol) and going round the park killing deadly trees does take up time (specially when I hadn't worked out I could use the GPS in the menu... duh!) But in all it is strangely satisifying to complete, they always say the best things are worth fighting for *tries not to put tongue in cheek*
I think the reason I loved it... apart from great graphics, story.. yadda yadda yadda, is that it actually takes you time to master the control and to complete. I am fed up of games that take me 2 days to finish and I haven't once wanted to throw my console out of the window.... Alone in the Dark makes you want to do that about every ... Read More:
