I bought a Sony 8GB Micro Vault, as it looks quite solid in the pictures and I have always found Sony products to be well constructed. However, when I received the product (and no complaints for the service from Moreflash - ordered late Friday evening and arrived early the next Tuesday) I found that it feels very cheap and fragile. In fact it feels more like a cheap plastic toy from a fairground than something that I will be entrusting to carry my documents around on. I guess that if it lasts for a couple of years (which I doubt) then I should not really complain, as this is what I bought it to do, but these days I expect my hardware items to be well made and aesthetically pleasing and not cheap and tacky (Apple versus Chad Valley). HP branded CD-R 80mins 700MB 50 cake

These are the best CD-R's iv found for the price range, they burn, play like they should and dont corrupt as quick as most other CD-R's. They feel really durable too, nice and thick with a solid surface.

the way it was packaged was unbelievable like it was a precious glass ornament or something quite unusual as I'm used to just any old how from ebay
OK i read the instructions which is unusual for me but the disk i wanted to fix was important a brand new xbox game from the shop but damaged by just being in the shop it seems
shoved new batteries in
sprayed the disc
pulled out the bracket
popped it in
one min spin
and took it out dyed it and it works like a dream
(note it was clean before start cus it was new)(don't stick dirty discs in)

thing is if your looking for something to make your disks look like new so you can trade them in or sell them "this ain't it" your left with faint ... Read More:

FUJIFILM - 100 x CD-R - 700 MB 52x - spindle - storage media

I purchased these because they had good reviews and I was looking for cheap, reliable CD-R's. Unfortunately, the latest batch to be sold by Amazon are manufactured by Ritek and are the worst performing CD-R's I have come across. I own a Plextor drive, one of the most media firendly around, but I struggled to get these things to burn without turning them into coasters or with large numbers of C2 errors. In the end I had to burn these discs at 16X just to get them to burn without errors, a far cry from the rated 52X. This is the second time I have had a run in with discs manufactured by Ritek, the first were TDK's, and they all have one thing in common...they are poorly made. It is suprising how some big names fall under the Ritek spell. I guess ... Read More:
