Using these discs to record video is not a good idea. When playing back the video, all i got was unknown meaning that i could not watch what i recorded. I recommend going for either the maxell or verbatim brand as i have not had any problems so far. Basically these discs are used as only frisbee's and coasters with the occasional one that works only once.

Great Product

Arrived less than 36 hours after i ordered it, and works perfectly, so far. Just plugged it in, was burning DVD's in 5 mins. Does exactly what it's supposed to do.

In the light of a previous review, I have tested my latest Verbatim discs. They are made by Mitsubishi Chemical Corp (MCC), and are the highest grade of writeable DVD that it is possible to purchase.

These discs had no problem with writing (up to 20x) and printing on both my laptop (Matshita) and desktop (LG) drives. The Infiniti discs would not print in my laptop drive, and although they did print in the LG drive, the quality was not as good as with the Verbatim which had a less transparent print layer and had greater detail and contrast than the Infiniti. You should make sure you have the latest lightscribe system software from lightscribe and ideally the latest firmware for your DVD drive. Note that these discs are DVD+Rs which may not work on older (pre 2004) DVD players (the equivalent DVD-R spindle is code 43643).

**Update** The bundled software, Power DVD 7.3, does not support Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound as this software is the OEM version. 2 channel sound only is supported. This is a major disappointment as upgrading to Power DVD 8 costs about £60 and you will lose the ability to play HD DVD if you do this (unless you install 7.3 and 8 side by side which is supposed to be possible). The supplied software was a major reason I bought this drive and I would now rate it a 4 stars not 5.

This is possibly the current best Bluray drive on the market. It writes/reads to Bluray, DVD, CD and reads HD DVD so if you have any movies in this now defunct format you can still watch them. Writing speeds are excellent. The drive has light scribe functionality ... Read More:

Just bought these DVDs because I was having serious problems with a cheaper/inferior brand (Datawrite) and can only say I am delighted. I was starting to think there was something wrong with my DVD-writer, but having read some reviews on this site realised that the quality of disks can make a massive difference. These work and for a very reasonable price!

I bought this item as i needed some cheap dvd's for copying, and thats all they are... cheap dvds that are a definate waste of money. They were fine when having movies copied onto them by my computer, and when i first put them into my dvd player, but after 5 minutes the dvds would skip and the player would lock-up, ive never had problems with copied dvds before and was very dissapointed as ive had to buy a new dvd player, as the old one got totally wrecked by the use of one of these dvds... definatley dont recommend them.

Ricoh CD-R 52x 700MB/80min 25pk spindle

Cheaper than most other brands I have bought and unlike a lot of them Ricoh music cds all play on my portable cd player.
I did get the 50 spindle from Amazon for about £4.70 which was really cheap but looks like only 25 spindles available now and even though works out dearer would still buy.
Definite recommend.
