DVD Minus (16X Speed) 50 spindle

I have used many different brands of DVD-Rs over the years and none have been as flimsy as these! Basically, the slightest tiny scuff can wreck the whole thing. To give you an idea, the disks come on a spindle, resting one on top of the other. If you store them that way, the fact that they rotate on the spindle can mean that the data side of one disk can become sufficiently scratched - merely by rubbing against the next disk's embossed writing on the title side - that it means you lose data. I think they must use some very cheap plastic coating on the back of these things. By contrast, I've had no other disks give these problems. Tut tut, I didn't get it from Amazon (they didn't have any at the time). That said, this little thing is brilliant. Easy to use BUT - if you (need or) wear glasses make sure you're wearing them before putting it in your (in my case Nokia 6301) phone. If it springs out you'll be lucky to find it! This technology is mind-boggling. So much capacity in such a tiny card, and this isn't anywhere near the largest GB storage available on one of these. My phone can only handle 2GB, or so I'm told, otherwise I'd have gone for even more storage. It's so cheap it's mad NOT to.

After Giving a bad review then editing it and now re-editing it, I have come to the conclusion that buying these is simply a gamble. My first spindle worked fine, the second won't work in my Divx player, even though the previous spindle did, they were both identical products! The Dvd's appear to work in my PC but I'll let you know if anything changes.
