After buying a useless KVM from ebay a few years ago, I had some trepadation about this unit. I am however, very pleased so far.

The USB switching can take a few seconds sometimes, but this is small price to pay.

I have not yet tried the audio sharing but the video output is identical to what it was before the switch was fitted, and this is with an 8 foot vga cable I have to use on one pc.

It feels quite solid and well made.

This could well be the daddy of keyboards, particularly for gamers. Though it is a bit on the large side compared to "normal" keyboards, the build quality and general 'feel' is top notch. Most importantly, the keys have anice positive feel to them without being horribly squishy and without being too hard on the fingers.

The various configurable keys (more on this shortly) are positioned very well just in reach on the left & right hand sides of the key field and are configurable. The software that comes with the keyboard is painless to install and allows excellent configuration. This isn't a fancy schmancy mouse and it's obviously not corded. For what it is, considering the newer mouses(sic) out there, it's not cheap either. I'd say should be £9:99 here on Amazon, not the £12+ it is now.

But that quibble aside this is a solid reliable mouse. It's the only device of the type (other than a Logitech Trackman I had for a long time) that's lasted more than six months (I game/button mash a *lot*).

What people must realize is that this mouse takes some getting used to, especially if you have small hands like me. It took me at least 24 hours of play to start to get comfortable, but it really is worth persevering.

Once you get used to it, you'll wonder how you ever managed before. I have used it on pretty much every surface from the desk itself to a soft rubber nylon covered mouse mat without any difficulty. I would however, recommend a hard smooth surface to get the maximum from the technology involved. The technology on offer is, in my opinion, a little over the top. I have not managed to use the mouse set at 4000dpi yet, its way too sensitive, half that seems appropriate.

I bought this mouse for my laptop, and having read reviews on many others, decided to go for this one. I have no complaints at all, it's compact, practical, works very nicely with my laptop, and feels nice in my hand; it's a little smaller than your average desktop mouse, but not so small that it's awkward to use. Just one point though; the manufacturer's blurb says that it will work on any surface; well, it doesn't! It often doesn't work properly if I use it on my highly polished coffee table direct, so I use some sort of mat with it. I'll probably get a proper mouse mat for it at some point, but for the price it's a great little item, so have no hesitation in recommending this mouse.

The Apple Remote (NOT iPod remote as some people think it's sole purpose is) is an excellent solution for control from distance. I bought this for my MacBook so I could control iTunes from across the room, and be able to use Front Row while sitting down. Both can be done effortlessly!

Buttons included are Menu, Volume + and -, Track Forwards and Backwards, and Play/Pause. Note that these buttons ultimately become Left, Right, Up, Down, and OK buttons on Front Row, which surfaces Apples innate ability to give simplicity a new definition.

Somehow, incredibly, the remote can be used without even pointing it at the MacBook. Since it's Infa Red, I really don't understand this! It's incredible. But since you must actually pair the ... Read More:

The pedal is well made and robust. Momentary (non-latching )type. A good feature is the small sliding switch that allows the pedal to be used as a push-to-make OR push-to-break type. I use it to control a drum machine. Very happy !

What an excellent Laptop. I have no reservations in recommending this marvellous little package to anyone who wants a machine that is highly portable, light and powerful. I have had Dell, Toshiba and MacBook Laptops in the past and the quality and performance of this machine is well on par with the best of them, the price of £450 is simply amazing. The one thing that really stands out with me is how cool and quiet the laptop runs even when it is sat on my lap for long periods of time. This is the second ACER Laptop I have purchased from Amazon (I bought my daughter a 15.1" version last month) and will certainly keep them on my shortlist for future Laptop replacements - I am quite simply impressed!
