The Apple Remote (NOT iPod remote as some people think it's sole purpose is) is an excellent solution for control from distance. I bought this for my MacBook so I could control iTunes from across the room, and be able to use Front Row while sitting down. Both can be done effortlessly!
Buttons included are Menu, Volume + and -, Track Forwards and Backwards, and Play/Pause. Note that these buttons ultimately become Left, Right, Up, Down, and OK buttons on Front Row, which surfaces Apples innate ability to give simplicity a new definition.
Somehow, incredibly, the remote can be used without even pointing it at the MacBook. Since it's Infa Red, I really don't understand this! It's incredible. But since you must actually ... Read More:

I bought this as a replacement for a bundled wireless medion keyboard and mouse which was absolute rubbish!
This Logitech product looks good feels good and works properly without draining my rechargeable batteries within a matter of days.
Recommended to anyone fed up with crap bundled with their PC.

This keyboard protector is doing a good job protecting my (black!) keyboard from grease and dust in the desert climes of Saudi Arabia!
HOWEVER: Do not close your laptop with the keyboard protector in place, otherwise (in my case) you might end up with a plastic mark on your screen which will take some (delicate) scrubbing to remove!! Solution: close the macbook after every use and save the money, or remove the keyboard protector every time! Another (quite daft) option is an A4 sheet of paper between the keyboard and the screen when closed. This will avoid the problem mentioned above, too.

I spent a long time looking at various mice, including reading lots of tech reviews, before settling on this one. Ill try to share what Ive learnt, so you dont have to wade through the same painful process as I did.
Although I ended up buying a gaming mouse, I dont use it for gaming very often. Im a software and web developer and so often spend a lot of time at the PC. It was important the mouse was comfortable, light, and accurate.
I also wanted to avoid too many buttons which often just detract from the overall usability.
Wireless vs Wired
------------------
Initially I wanted a wireless mouse, but the general concensus seems to be that wireless mice are heavier and a bit tiring to use after a while.

Toughball 2.4GHZ Wireless Keyboard with Optical Trackball
Straight out the box, the driver install ok, no problems.
The problems arise when you try move the mouse to quick, the pointer gives up, I have to tease the pointer across the screen. Then typing omits the odd letter, a lot of my addresses look like "ww.mcrosft.cm" It's not a sticky key issue as it happens to most keys.
My suspicion is that it's process priority linked as the more work my machine is doing, the worse the problem is. I haven't looked for solutions yet, that's my next step.
Physically, it's a nice solid unit that feels good in the hand, I just wish that it would work!

Bought this keyboard a while back, about 6 months ago been using it since. It's a great keyboard for multimedia, has volume controls, mute, fwd, prev, play, stop etc.
Good for gaming, I play lots of FPS games(UT, CSS, Far cry, HL2, COD etc) and response is fast accurate. No problems.
Also has 5 buttons which u can assign shortcuts to open any application. I use it for Firefox, Win Explorer, games and Music apps.
Finally the arm rest is detachable, so u can remove it or keep on, depending on your preference.
