I bought this laptop after seeing a friends in use for 3 months. My friend had no problems, but the one I bought (and its replacement) both had faults and were returned. Amazon's returns policey was very good and I obtained a refund without any hassle.

The moral is, IF YOU BUY ONE - CHECK IT OUT THOROUGHLY; especially the functions that you don't use so often.

I must warn people not to buy this router if you have power problems. The first router I had arrived and the setting up was so simple and quick. It was the hub of my home network allowing me to share my computers and devices without complications. The performance was good in being a modem/router and wireless but there is achillies heal. It dont like power cuts and as I live in a rural place we seem to get a quite a few through out the year.

The first time I experience it just didnt know what to do as it doesnt reset just acts dead. I unplug it and had to use an old modem as I need an internet connection at all times. Although I ordered this mouse for gaming and home use, when the package arrived to the office I could not stand opening it and trying it immediately. It came via second class post, the packaging had a basic padded envelope, and the standard box of the mouse. It contained manuals, install CD and the mouse itself.

One of the first things I noticed was that the mouse has a really smooth run, thanks to the completely smooth plastic things on the bottom-front and bottom-end of this rat. The grab is comfortable, and big enough for my hand to sit comfortably. Its a real comfort after the slightly undersized mouse I had to use.

The middle button has a bit surprisingly strong resistance, but apart from that the feel is great.

I bought a sum vision PS2 mouse for my old computer a couple of years ago and it worked like a charm. The only problem with it was that it affected the screensaver ie wouldn't work with the mouse plugged in. Now I've upgraded my PC and found this sum vision USB mouse for a measly 1p and decided stick with what I knew was a good mouse. The USB mouse comes with the same durability, awesome responsivness, accuracy, comfortable size and above all, it looks great. Plus the old problem is gone, the screensaver works fine with this little beauty. So if you're looking for a good mouse that looks a lot more technical than it is, with great durabily and an awesome price, this is the one to get!

I bought this laptop because of it's low price and its boast of 80GB. Only to discover it's much lower so it got sent back but asked for a replacement. That came swiftly enough but it had the same GB. Then on the same day, after installing just one programme, I was forced to use the restore to factory settings utility as the laptop simply would not shut down - even closing the lid did not help it turn off so I had to wait for the battery to wear itself out. Thankfully once it was restored everything so far has been plain sailing, (thank God), and now I can say it's a great little machine.

Yes its nice and small, but what nobody has pointed out (i found out after i bought one) is that its only good for about 200mm distance from behind the camera (assuming your infra Red receiver on the camera is at the front. I have a Canon 450D and the receiver is front right ie near the hand grip.
This is no good for taking a picture from a few meters behind the camera.
Very disappointing as this isn't pointed out anywhere.
Ive now bought the Radio wireless remote (about £20+del) and that works to a max distance of 100m.
If you just want to use this remote right at the camera or infront, you'll be fine.

I've been using the much smaller (500MB), identical brother of this for the last 2 years. It has never let me down. It has a hard life being used daily to transfer data to and from a variety of computers at work and at home. It lives in my handbag next to a bunch of keys. The case is more like a light metal than plastic and, unlike some of the plastic pens has not cracked or chipped at all. the only sign of wear is the silver casing scuffing slightly. The lid fits snugly so there is no danger of it falling off. I find the non-retractable aspect an advantage - it makes the thing sturdier. Having ordered this, late on a tuesday night prior to a bank holiday, i was delighted to find it waiting for me when i got back from a short holiday over the weekend despite estimated dispatch date of the tuesday after the bank holiday. Very Impressed amazon, well done!

As to the product itself, i have to echo what other reviewers have said, size wis it is very good. for a notebook mouse. not unuseably small as many are, but a good comfortable size.
the buttons are well placed, not too close together, so they dont get in each others way, even the 4th button which is on the side, it is above the natural position for the thumb so no real chance of accidently hitting it as is the case with many other mice. the buttons themselves have a soft click which, ...
