I bought from Amazon for £30 and now its £20 grrr - this matched my laptop RAM exactly (shows what cheap stuff they put in!) BUT this is cracking value and has improved all my load times and program close down times in Vista. Image processing in noticeably faster, I no longer have paging issues and the system has been cheaply improved (now a 2gb Vista machine.)

This will be the fourth LaCie hard drive I've bought, all quality builds with all the cables needed. This drive comes with USB power adaptor for low powered USB ports and a mini USB2 cable. You'll need to reformat the drive before using it.

A few elements put this above other USB2 Mobile drives. It's small (slightly bigger than the WD passport drive, but only just). It works on low power USB2 out of the box. A WD passport needs a special cable which is not supplied. Still, I'd not recommend it for G4 15 inch Powerbooks. Cables are short and the two USB ports are on either side of the laptop. You're still better off with a firewire drive, which I find to be quicker. The Intel Macbook thankfully has proper USB2 ports, only needing ... Read More:

The LowePro 350 is a great bag in terms of quality of finish (no loose threads, zips work well, padding is firm, velcro in good places, etc). There are some compromises of course, which is the nature of the design.

This system is designed to carry a laptop and camera gear, plus a reasonable "loose" section for drinks/food/etc at the top. I bought this for a holiday trip to the West Coast of Scotland which I knew would involve quite a bit of walking. I also knew I would NOT be carrying the laptop on the walks! It was a good method of getting the laptop to the accommodation fully protected without having to add yet another bag to the already full car.
