Photos - I love this, especially for sharing photos on a big TV. I can get pictures off a memory card and onto the telly within minutes via a quick download into iPhoto on my Mac upstairs.
Music - I've found that it streams music perfectly over an Airport Extreme network but you do get a few glitches if you try to stream from an older Mac with an older wireless card. Quality is great with a rich sound.
Video - It's novel being able to browse youtube from the couch but the big thing is viewing footage from my HD camcorder. If I export a project as a 960 pixel wide quicktime file, it streams great over the network for viewing on the telly.

went for this because its sony, got an ipod nano too but has nothing on it compared to this in terms of sound quality & bass, good quality product from sony once again (jus lacks an fm tuner)

This is the first MP3 player I have had, so I would have appreciated some instructions on how to get the music into it from my computer (I had to take it to work and ask a boy...)! It's supposed to hold 250 songs, but mine is full with a fraction of that on it, although that could also be due to my technological ineptitude. As some of the other reviewers have said, the lever thing is fiddly and I wouldn't be surprised if it broke soon.

Having said that, I think the sound is OK and it serves the purpose I got it for. For less than a tenner, I can't really complain.

The MP3 player is top notch. The sound quality is much better than any other MP3 player I have used. It has an internal batter which charges from the USB on your computer and lasts for ages. the buttons are all touch sensitive. It comes with an excellent pair of heasdphones. The screen is blue and black, very clear to see all the song listings. I use it for the gym and the volume can go very high fortunately!

Highly recommended. I only ever buy Sandisk or Samsung MP3 players.

Did a lot of research on mp3 players. Bought the creative Zen to begin with but kept crashing. Got the sony and I couldnt believe the difference. Excellent sound. So easy to use ( using windows media player or windows explorer). would recomend this product to anyone loking for a good value for money mp3 player.

I never got it... Ipods are very un-unser friendly to fill with music (you MUST have Itunes to do it and the smaller players don't even come with a disk!!) and the actual use is just OK. They are just trendy, nothing more. Creative Zens, however, are just as good (if not better) and don't need special software to work. Just use your windows XP to "send to" the device and you are away. When considering Ipods, you are paying for the trend. Now use your head instead of your ego - Get a Zen.

Bought this after reading reviews. Excellent sound, features, weight etc. Everything I read and wanted as I run. After approx 4 weeks player unexpectedley began to turn itself off with no good cause. Tried updating players firmware without positive result as well as resetting to factory settings and then eventually reformatting drive...20+ phone calls/emails to Sandisk who are based in States (you get redirected from UK number, I then had to produce photos, copies of proof of purchase, screenshots from PC of Amazon account etc, etc, etc...now over 8 weeks and it's still sitting in my drawer at home and I'm still waiting for their customer services to get in contact as my return has been accepted but now needs 'RMA approval' whatever that is..Feels like their dragging ... Firstly, the review above me is completely wrong, i believe this review was written by Gadget4U promoting their product as it is on every site. I am very dissapointed with this product, an mp3/mp4 player should be easy to use, this however is a complete nuisance. Navigating the menu is very tedious; within ten minutes of having this product i felt like throwing it at a wall. I advise that you please stay away form this product, save your money!
