Samsung YP-T9 - 4Gb MP3 Player With Wireless Bluetooth - Video & Gaming

As I was upgrading from one of these cheapo £25 512Mb ones I did not have huge expectations. I did quite a bit of research on MP3 before making the plunge, Which magazine and website, read most of the amazon reviews and other websites. The YP-T9 was rated highly in Which and the reliability appeared to be better than the Ipods. What really tipped it for me was the price. Why would I want to pay twice as much of a 4Gb Nano that does not have a radio? It was a close run thing between the Samsung and the Sony Walkman which appear to be comparable in price and features. This is a lovely bit of kit. It has plenty of memory and is easy to use. Decent gear for quite a cheap price.

When it arrived I loved it straight away it's perfect size and so easy to use and set up, defti glad i bought it and not spend a fortune on one from elsewhere.

Good sound and easy to use, it even works with Vista (unlike the zen micro) but as with all MP3 get different earphones the supplied ones are not good

Who says gadgets are for the boys? This waterproof mp3 is great fun, easy to use and works a treat. the sound whilst swimming is excellent and makes swimming even more pleasurable.

There are problems:
(1) The build quality is very low. The first player delivered to me was a dud but, after an email exchange with the sellers (BC UK), I returned it & they sent me a replacement by return of post (this time with a dud battery which I replaced myself).
(2) The contraption with the earphones is ungainly.
(3) Installation of the battery and, in particular, its cover (I broke the first one I had) is very tricky. The trick with the cover is to (i), while holding the cover at an angle, insert its flange in the slot ion the player, then (ii) press down on the cover & click it into place.
