My neightbour has been sharing his WiFi with me for the last 2 years and his router is 20 meters away from my laptop with 4 walls in-between. My laptop is a centrino with a high standard centrino WiFi network adapter. But it was simply too much. I struggled to understand why it kept disconnecting from the network and getting a very irregular data flow. I found out this 'high standard' network adapter might have some problems (not listed on Intel Website but in loads of forums). But I realised all that was just bullsh*** after I took the risk to buy the Belkin Pre-N. The only problem WiFi B and G networks have is the signal stability in long-range environments. If that matters for you, believe me this pre-N is plainly a miracle. Perfectly stable ... Read More:

Fitted easily. Driver software already on my G5, so no need to install from supplied CD. Communicates well with my BT Voyager 2091, though the acid test will be when I run my Mac from the garden shed whilst the router/modem remains in the house (about 90ft distance). All in all, very happy so far. Also, thought it best to install an actual Mac product in my Mac rather than taking a perceived bigger chance buying a third party card.
Purchased a new computer with vista which my old modem did not have drivers for. Netgear comes with no written instructions, just a CD Rom wizzard which failed to work with Vista. After several days of frustration I established the problem was that the Netgear box would not connect with my IP provider. I needed a couple of IT expert colleagues to finally get me running. Now its working, its fantastic, however, 3 stars for the set up nightmare.

Bought this camera recently only to find it was completely innapropriate for my purposes. I had intended it to be a public access webcam and after reading in the product description that I could "leave it wide open for the world to see" I assumed this would be possible. And it is, sort of, as long as you ignore the following points:
1. It will only allow 10 people to view the feed at once.
2. there is no way (without a lot of hassle and work arounds) to embed the feed to your own web page, You can only view it via its built in administration page.
3. You can't allow unrestricted access so it will always prompt for a username and password.
As long as none of these points matter to you then it's a decent camera ... Read More:
