Quality control at the Romanian factory where these things are made isn't quite up to par, with the result that I'm currently waiting for my third exchange in less than four months.

The first one started buzzing like an angry wasp after a few weeks.
The second had unacceptable large visible marks within the lcd panel.
The third has broken energy saving features and will not go into standby mode.

The amount of money I've lost through missed work, waiting in / trying to resolve these issues has added up to more than the cost of the original purchase.

I cannot recommend that anybody buys one of these.
Spend your hard-earned money on a different one.

This surely has to be one of the best value screens on the market.
It's priced at the bottom end of the range for this size, but delivers top quality picture, with bright clear colours and absolutely no flicker.
Text is extremely clear which was precisely what my student son needed for long hours writing essays. I wish I'd bought one for myself!

Bought this from amazon a few days ago, came quickly (only a day by first class) and box was not damaged at all during transit. I have the 22 hooked up via vga to my macbook and so far it has worked very well, no connection issues or other problems. to best sum it up i will list the pros and cons.

pros:
very attractive glossy black exterior, and anti glare screen coating, similar to the looks of the more expensive hewlettt packard monitors.

screen is bright and vivid

HDMI for modern technology, xbox, ps3 etc.

well built, very strong base unit which holds the unit securely, exception with mine there is a loose screw inside, but this shouldnt be a problem.

This is a non technical review on what my wife and saw at home. We are both pleased as we think it represents value for money.
We purchased (from ISBUY Ltd) the PL8508 this week (23/04/08)and it arrived within 2 days.
The set is for use in our small camper van (Citreon Relay SWB). The programmes for the set will come via satellite dish (Astra 2D Free to Air.)and set top box.
We are pleased with the performance it delivers (picture and audio) when connected to Satellite dish
Within 2 hours I had the set working via terestrial aerial and Satdish/set top box.
For terestrial via standard lead to loft aerial. The lead connects to the set using Antenna transfer cable which is suplied with set.

I've had this monitor for just under a year and I've always had problems with the sound. The left speaker used to cut out every now and then which was annoying, but as I don't use it as my main TV, not a huge problem. Recently the right speaker has started to do the same which means I'm now occasionally stuck without any sound whatsoever.

While I've never had any other problems (the picture quality and other features have been fine) I couldn't recommend this product to anyone.
