Thankfully I chose to ignore the other reviewer of this product as they are clearly reviewing the software that comes with the scanner and not the hardware itself. I have installed Silverfast on my Windows XP machines without any issues. If you want to use Windows Vista then as far as I know, it works, but Vista is a possibly the worst operating system I've ever had the misfortune to use and if there are issues, they're probably Vista issues, not Plustek's. You've been warned!
Anyway, back to the scanner. I scanned a few films using the Silverfast software with great results. However, it's not exactly intuitive and it can sometimes be a struggle to get consistent results as there is far too much twiddling to be done. I read the review ... Read More:

HP Colour Laserjet 1600 Printer

I got this printer because I was fed up with frequent (and hence expensive) ink cartridge replacements for my Epson inkjet, that also gummed up if they weren't used for a week. All can say is this printer is excellent for the money, wish I'd bought one sooner. HP still make the best lasers. You can now get this machine for £100 if you shop around.

It's relatively quick for colour, quiet, and the prints are superb quality. Text and graphics are excellent, photographs not quite so good.

But like everything in life, it's not perfect:
For a so called 'compact' printer, its bulky, it auto self calibrates quite regularly - but you can change calibration settings in the driver setup, and the on/off switch is at the ... Read More:
