I have to disagree with the other reviewers.
I have had nothing but trouble with this printer since i bought it.
It jams up on a regular basis and if paper gets torn it is almost impossible to remove.

It is quiet slow in printing and currently i can't print at all as i'm getting bands across the printouts even though i have cleaned the printheads twice and done all the other maintenance tasks. I have only used the printer a handful of times and it is never moved so can't see why it has all these problems.

I've always used Epson in the past and i cetainly will never buy Kodak again

If your looking for a printer for Home use...then this is the printer to buy...I've had it for quite some time and together with its 'All-in-One' capabilities, speed and efficiency...this product has been wonders to use...and is very easy to use, (print, fax, scan, copy)

I needed to upgrade my scanner as its now a crucial part of my business so I plumped with the Cannon LiDE 600 and haven't looked back.

I personally haven't used all the extra buttons on the scanner itself because the Cannoscan Toolbox works perfectly fine with Vista and after you've set up your preferences you just need to click scan and your away. The quality is excellent and 300dpi works great unless your going for a massive project scan and then I'd suggest upping it.

I haven't played with the negative scanner yet but I've read a lot of reviews saying that's great but tricky to get going with.

This is quite simply the best printer I've ever bought. I got it as a present for my partner and she's absolutely delighted. It was very easy to set up on a partially wireless network and does all the jobs I could ask for and more. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with an ethernet or USB cable, but I had one lying around so no problem. I haven't used the fax functions yet, but I'm sure they do the job to the same standard.

Also when buying ink disregard the comments of anyone shamelessly plugging a certain website that sells refilled/refurbished cartridges. It's likely that they work for this company and they're being paid to write these bogus reviews that don't reflect their true quality. One of them seems to have the same opinion of ... Read More:

I purchased this item because I've had Epson scanners in the past which have been good. However, if you are an Apple Macintosh user as I am, you should be aware that the four scan buttons on the front of the scanner, ie Scan, Scan to Email, Scan to PDF and Scan to File will not work with a Mac - they are for use on a PC only.

The only way to scan a document/photo on a Mac is to use your photo editing program, ie Photoshop and go to File, Import.

Nowhere on the Epson website (or Amazon) does it tell you this. I had to contact Epson's technical support when I couldn't get any of the buttons to work and then returned it to Amazon for full refund.

Plustek OpticFilm 7200 Film Scanner

I have just received my scanner via Amazon and I have been able to produce some very good quality slides after some problems, which I have not yet solved, with the installation of the software. The Plustek software goes in easily and the Lasersoft appeared to do also but when I start mt computer it tells me each time that this is not installed. I find however that it is there somewhere. I discovered that if I tried to import a scan into paint Shop Pro 12 the TWAIN driver was there and I ws able to use it to produce good quality images. I am sure that when I get the software sorted I will have a very useful piece of kit.

Epson Perfection V350 Photo scanner 4800 X 9600 DPI Auto Film Loader

Wonderful piece of kit, scans film & slides very well indeed, you just need to read instuctions first, though I found it quite user friendly, I had it scanning slides within 30 min after getting it out of the box.
Auto film loader is spot on, a key feature, it does require the film to be undamaged, no kinks or damaged edges and fed in with care.
Sure its a bit on the slow side but the quality of result is very good indeed, software allows for all sorts of repair and enhancement.
It was able to scan repair/restore forty year old film a treat.
A bargain for the casual film/photo scanner who cannot justify the high cost of a dedicated 35mm film scanner.
And of course its a brilliant flat bed scanner when you've finished with film.
