If you compare the prices of some other branded portable speakers these represent good value for money. I thought the previous review somewhat unfair but agree they are not suitable for in car use. I use them with both my MP3 player (Samsung T10) and my Pinnacle Soundbridge internet radio and the volume level and sound quality is more than adequate without using the battery powered amplifier section. Philips offer a passive (non-amplified) version the SBP1100/00 that look the same so presumably sound the same and are even cheaper!

First of all the dimension mentioned are wrong the actual dimensions are
490(height) x 195 (width) x 250 (depth). They are nearly the size of my CPU. The build quality is somewhat appalling such as scratches screws not tightened and led light not working. Despite that the actual sound quality is decent and loud. The woofers do not distort at high volume and is able to produce deep end low frequency bass. Music should be heard loud when using these, every pin drop can be heard clearly and explosions are felt pretty well. I would recommend these to most people, but beware you may have to fix minor objects. They were worth every penny. However if you are really a bass freak then try a 5.1 system. AMAZING!!!! I really recommend it I have had mine for about 6 weeks now and I can honestly say it looks and sounds the best with my 604!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I wanted from this item was a small, lightweight, portable system for my ipod. What I got was an amazing little product. It looks brilliant. Very small and neat and simple to use. The most surprising feature, however, was the amazing sound quality. Even at full volume there was no sound distortion and the output level was incredible for such a tiny gadget!!! Very impressive indeed.

Bought these logic3 mini speakers at an amazing price off Amazon, didnt expect them to be special but on trying them they look and sound beautiful!
Sturdy and very well built, quality through and through!

The first thing to strike me about the Creative Travelsound was how attractive, chunky and apparently well made it is, a relief considering the price, which was getting on for as much as that paid for the compatible Stone Plus player.

The unit has a neat little stand and its own power switch, allowing the speakers to be used either actively with the supplied AAA batteries or passively via the MP3 player itself (which is not recommended as this drains the player's own battery unnecessarily).

The sound quality is fine to my untrained ear although, obviously, much depends on the bitrate at which the player's tracks were themselves recorded.

I brought one of these for myself around a month ago as I was getting fed up of having to wear headphones all the time listening to my iPod whilst I was doing painting and decorating (my Job). I thought when I received it it was a bit 'cute' to say the least!!! But having used it every day, I most definately would say it's brilliant. It runs off 4 AA batteries (which I have two rechargeable sets of them, so I always have a charged set) so I don't need to find a mains socket to plug it in to to use. Its extremely rugged (I've dropped it a few times).
