I was given this as a leaving present, as a kind of joke, but my colleagues didn't realise I've always loved ants and really wanted one of these for ages! I wasn't disappointed. This is a well-designed product which provides hours of entertainment and fascination. I've seen all sorts of strange things going on in my Ant World: ants moving things around then back again like women designing a living room with furniture, a brutal murder when an ant I thought had escaped turned out to clearly be from outside (i.e. it was killed within minutes of entry), and interesting preferences for lunch: fruits not as popular as one might think, honey, other insects and even nuts proving popular on the menu. Further, there's plenty of ways to improvise with ... Read More:

I ordered this ladybird kit for my daughter who is 5, and obsessed by insects. I made the mistake of telling her I had ordered it.....
The kit arrived within 3 days (5 stars Amazon), with a note inside saying you could log on to brainstormltd to order the lavae. So I logged on....only to find that their website isn't up and running yet...so I rang them. Very polite lady answered the phone, and informed me that the ladybird larvae cost £6! (I was expecting there to be a voucher inside so I could just quote a reference number and get the larvae for free, or that if I had to pay, it would only be about £2.50 seeing as I had already shelled out £15 for the net basket to house them in). I duely paid the £6, and was told the ladybirds would ... Read More:

This book was a disappointment. I bought the board book version expecting something similar to "The very hungry caterpillar" which my one year old adores. This book is much longer, the writing is not suitable for reading to a one year old, much less clear and much harder to follow the story. I think this book would be more suitable for 4 years plus, though why they need it in board book form at that age is beyond me.

I am a childminder so bought this as an activity to do with a range of children from 2 upto 11 years.
It is really terrible. Ours has been going for about 4 weeks now (the max time wormworld say you should keep the worms in for) and you would not know there were worms in there! Although the box is quite thin, the worms still manage to stay 'in the middle' and so out of sight.(there are worms in there, 9 in fact, 10 is the max number allowed) Aload of cobblers and a complete waste of money.
Their is a tiny booklet in there telling you about worms, which is slightly interesting, but by far the most enjoyable part of the whole thing was digging for worms in the first place. You would be better off saving your money and getting an old bucket.
