Sony MDR-EX71SLW Stereo Earphones - White

Have been keeping an eye on these earphones for quite a while and finally bought them since the earphones coming with my iPod really tortured my ears and I couldn't endure any more. As long as I plugged these Sony earbuds, they gave the music that I've been listening a new style! Matching the price and the extension cable gives flexibility. The only thing is that the bass quality is a bit of a shame, could be better. But I accept this since they are only EARBUDS, what else could be demanded?

yep, these are a rip off, they should come in packs of 6 in a specific size as you know what size your ears are after you bout the headphones in the first place and they came with a pair of each size to try.

However, these are cheaper than Shure equivalents, then again Sony is not in the same price bracket as Shure either. It's really annoying paying £4 per piece of usable rubber (for my ears) yet, these headphones (phontopias) are really good for the money, I just better look after the rubbers better!

I Brought these headphones twice and thought they were great they each lasted me a long time, but i love my music and i am always looking for something to enhance my experience so i purchased some Shure E4Cs as there was a pair available on here for the same price and they simply blow these out of the water, i want some se530s now. Anyway I digress, If your budget is up to £70, they are probably the best you will get, they sound good if you have your EQ set right, and you are using a good bit rate (which you should always do if you don't want to lose any quality).

I'm no earphone expert, but after reading a few reviews I bought these (my other Sony's stopped working (MDR-E818LP)). They came with the M size rubber buds fitted but they didnt fit me as they were too big, I tried the S size and they fit perfectly. These are my first 'in-ear' earphones so I was very pleased.

Had a listen to a few songs and they sounded like comepletely new songs, with loads of bass and other little sounds that I'd never heard before in the songs. VERY happy with them.

My only gripe is that it has an asymmetrical cord, which I hate but I can live with it for now seeing as how the quality is very good.

Sony SRF-M97 Radio Walkman

If you live in an area where FM & MW signals are medium or strong, this is an excellent radio. The sound is rich & clear, the presets are easily adequate, there are no fiddly extra features that you don't need, and it's a pleasure to use.
I live in an area where the signals are weak, and it's poor here. A little Sony ICF-S10MK2 can grab the waves, having a proper antenna, but the 'phones on this model, good as they sound, don't work too well as an antenna. I tried other 'phones, to no avail.
So it's brilliant, or no good, depending on where you'll use it.

Sony MDR-EX75 Quality In-Ear Headphones - Black

I bought these to replace the earphones that Sony supplied with my Sony NWZ-A818 MP3 player, those earphones had excellent sound quality, but they were the traditional earphone shape, which i always have trouble wearing due to them falling out. So i though i'd buy a new pair of moderately priced Sony earphones that were more ergonomic. I assumed that since my other pair of Sony earphones were so excellent then these would be too, especially since these ones were most likely more valuble than the ones Sony bundle with their MP3 players.

Well... i was WRONG. These sound awful. The sound quality is terrible and makes music sound tinny and like nails down a blackboard. It's so bad i couldn't listen to more than a couple of songs, it was painful ... Read More:

These 'phones came with my Sony NW818 Walkman.

The earphones are a bit of an odd shape but they insert easily into the ear. Sound wise they are fantastic, if not maybe a bit too much bass. Clarity is however excellent. I've tried them full blast with no distortion. I'll be honest and say that they reveal some musical detail that is not audible listening from CD.

It is important to select the right size of bud. I use the medium size. The large I found too big. A bit like stuffing your ears with cotton wool. The small size are comfortable but leak some background noise and do cut the bass a bit. On medium, background noise is reduced significantly.

Creative Zen Micro Remote Control - Black

I was a bit disappointed with this - it's quite bulky and not terribly elegant. The buttons are bit of a fiddle and the cord is quite thick. Overall it feels more bulky than the Creative Zen V I connect it to. The Apple remote I used with an iPod was much nicer to use (and in fairness to Creative some of my difficulties with this remote probably come from my familiarity with the Apple device). Another niggle is the clip to attach it to your jacket or bag isn't terribly well designed or secure.

For nearly £20 it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect something a little more elegant than this - a remote is very useful as it saves you endlessly digging in pockets or bags to change the volume or track - as it feels bit of an afterthought compared to how well ... Read More:
