Sony HiMD 1GB Mini Disc

HiMD is perfect for portable audio. The sound quality is excellent, with even the cheaper players beating any MP3 player produced to date. Less susceptible to shocks or drops than HD players & with removable batteries they last a LOT longer than your average iPod. The comparatively lower capacity can be a downside but what good is it to have all your music with you when it all sounds rubbish because it's being played on sub-standard equipment???

Having read many reviews before purchasing this microphone I have to say that the previous comments are totally accurate. I wanted a mike that I could use with my PC to dub over videos that I edit prior to burning to disc. Previous mikes have allowed the hum of the PC hard drive to be detected and this has been eradicated with the mike. Setting the control to 90deg allows me to have total control over the input with no outside nosie interference. I have also used this mike in a church wedding via my Camcorder where previously the dialog of a church service has been difficult due to high ceilings and lots of echo. Using a 10m extension cable with no loss of qaulity I am highly delighted with the results. I aslo think the price is excellent.

I have a HD mini disk bought from Amazon very cheap £60 for the 900 model I like MD but not so keen on Sony these days, software, DRM etc. So 4* for the MD and 1 gig disk.

Like the other review watch out for the EBay type sellers here £0.45p is not the cost, they actually charge £5 delivery for EACH disk, no discount for multi purchase.
Get these seller off Amazon they should be made to advertise correctly for the full price or limit the maximum delivery by true postage costs smells like a con.

Sony MDWM MiniDisc Case

it is a very useful case to have and protects your mini disc player nicely. there are only a few down falls: when you wear it on your arm it sticks out a lot and could be banged into.The arm strap is too big even when it is on as tight as can be. The apperance is very nice and i would use it for sport as well as around the house. The mini disc player fits nicely but it is a bit too tight to fit in a minidisc as well.

but over all it is the a very good perchase and is valuble!!!

Sony Hi-MD with Self-Recording, USB

Nice pice of kit although the buttons and screens are a bit small, but the qulity of sound is out of ths universe.
There is one major draw back though, and that is that the supplied software dose not work with vista and you have to go online to get the correct software for this operating system.

Apart from that it is easy to set up with P.C. and dose exactly what it says on the box.

My reccomendation is that if you are looking for a portable music player then consider this device.

You will not be disapointed.

Sony MZ-NH600 Silver Hi-MiniDisc Walkman

I got the Sony MZ-NH600 Silver Hi-MiniDisc Walkman for my 40th Birthday on 23rd February 2005 from my dear Mum who sadly died of cancer on 16th July 2007.

I have been a great fan of Sony products for many years. MiniDisc is the best as far as I am concerned. From the original to MD-LP and now to this fantastic HI-MD format where you can download fron CD or the Internet music up to 45 hours on one of these excellent discs. You can even download documents and photographs on to these discs to. I have not experienced any trouble except if you do not pre-format each disc before recording on to it you may lose data and even a whole disc of music.
