I bought these stickers long before my baby son was born as we were unable to paint his room (we're in rented accommodation). My son is now 4 months old so at the weekend I asked some friends kids to help me put these up in my son's bedroom. They were very easy to put up and move around if need be. The kids had great fun choosing where everything went and I think I had even more fun than them!! There are 96 stickers of varying sizes that easily decorated the nursery without any gaping spaces left. The large stickers - dolphin, whale, octopus, anchor and treasure chest - could do with two people to put them up to help prevent bubbles but the others stickers are a manageable size. The stickers are very colourful and just look amazing.

Gina Ford's understanding of the neurobiological impact of her "teachings" is almost as good as my understanding of the trade cycle. I am quite certain that all babies submitted to her Stalinist regime stop crying. Wouldn't you if noone ever came to comfort you? But what are such children being taught about their parents' ability to "hold" them emotionally? And about emotion in general?

I bought this last xmas for my son, who was then 3 months old. He was interested in it as soon as he got it - initially just looking at the pictures when I turned the pages. He then learned to turn the pages himself and loved the Daddy and Baby pictures the best - they always made him smile, as did the mirror on the front and he also loved to crinkle the pages. He loved this book! Even now, at just over a year old, I keep it in his cot as he still plays with it sometimes when he wakes up from a nap. He now absolutely loves books and am sure this fab initial introduction helped.
I cant recommend this highly enough! Am buying it this year for my new niece.

I bought this just a few weeks before my first baby was born at the end of last year, I found the first couple of chapters on general baby care and newborn very useful but then as the months went by, Gina seems to imply your baby 'should' be doing this and that and I sometimes felt that my baby didnt measure up to her exacting standards and her patronising tones made me feel inadequate as a first time mother. Her strict routines are well known and of course they are in here, not as detailed as in some of the other books but detailed enough for those of us who seem to muddle through and have babies not so suited to routines.
I thought the photos were nice and some of the babycare information was good however this could all be got elsewhere ... Read More:

We bought this for our boys' bedroom as we needed something that would appeal to our 4 yr old as well as his baby brother. We had seen this product in a local trendy furnishings store but found that it was retailing for a lot less on the amazon site. It has been a great success. The whole family has spent a fun afternoon putting the stickers on our plain walls and the room is truely transformed. Our little kids were able to help out as the stickers were easy to remove from their packaging, easy to apply to the walls and easy to re-apply when needed. The print quality and colour on the stickers looks great and the finish sits really well against the mid-sheen emulsion on the walls. We are so pleased with the results that we are going to do another ... Read More:
Strengths:
- Very lightweight
- Cute music
- Cute pictures from the light show
Weaknesses:
- Can easily be pulled down by baby using its fingers
- Pictures are on a rotating disc, so may become boring after a while.
- Once the baby sits up in the crib, this can be hazardous if it't attached to the side, because the light has a warning not to let eyes come in the way of the rays.
- Probably useless after the child is four months old, if not before.
A better buy, in my opinion, would be the mobiles from Tiny Love that have farm or zoo animals. These are well-designed, durable, and can be used well into the toddler years (without the mobile part). My 1.5 year old still ... Read More:

I have recommended this book to everyone. It's full of good advice for different weaning stages. And I cook the 9months + recipes for my husband...he always says how nice they are and then I tell them that the meal was designed for a 12 month old!! Lovely food for babies, toddlers, and adults.

I really love this book, the recipes are very easy and tasty, my baby loves them!!!.
If I didn't have the book, I would have never used broccoli, nor onion on a purée for example. This book has been an excellent guide to me. The author also gives very good nutritional tips.
I'm very happy to have this book and I would recommend it to first time parents without a doubt.

An infamous short tale of the caterpillar that munches its way through the edible obstacles on each page, until it becomes a butterfly. Arguably the most famous of the Eric Carle short stories, The Hungry Caterpillar symbolises the journeys things take in the world in order to accomplish something great. Themes in this book include the virtue of patience and the fact that things can sometimes take a surprising turn.
`The Hungry Caterpillar' shows all the great hallmarks of a young children's book, in that it easily lends itself to the curriculum and is as simple as it is equally open to in-depth interpretation. Possibilities of further learning include additional studies of phonics, links with food technology (fruits and their properties) and ... Read More:
