I bought this as a secondary unit to an iTALKonline transmitter, and while I have probably been spoilt by that piece of kit, I honestly wasn't expecting the Roadtrip to be as bad as it is.
Firstly, the basic fitting is not quite long enough to fit into the cigarette lighter and allow me to actually see and use the ipod. Due to the angle of the socket in my car (Audi TT), the ipod ends up pointing towards the floor, making it difficult to change tracks etc.
Also, the extension arm supplied is way too long and the unit is too heavy to be supported safely by it, leaving it sticking out too far and waggling around.
Secondly, the sound quality is dreadful - far too quiet and when the volume is wacked up to compensate, ... Read More:

I owned a Sony A818 walkman for a year and bought the the ipod a few months ago.
First the positives:
* large capacity (beats my previous Sony's 8GB)
* looks nice
Now the negatives:
* sound quality is noticeably worse compared to my old Sony. No really, its that bad I thought there was something wrong with the IPod. As a test I played a 320kbit MP3 on the IPOD and a 192kbit wma on the Sony through an external Denon amp and Mission speakers and the Sony was easily the better sounding player, even with the lower quality audio file. The IPod's EQ functions only made it sound worse with clipping and distortion evident throughtout on the IPod when the EQ function was enabled.
I bought this to charge my new second generation (2G) iPod Touch. Apple have finally changed the iPod charger requirements after years of build-up such that old Firewire-based chargers are no longer supported. As a result, neither of my old iPod chargers are able to charge my new iPod Touch. :-(
In the main description of this charger, it states that it is suitable for 'all iPod generations', but this is factually incorrect. As reported by some other reviewers, this charger is not suitable for the latest iPhone or iPod models including the Touch 2G, Nano 4G and iPhone 3G.
If however you have an older iPod model, this may still be a reasonable cheap option for a charger. However, please be aware that although it is described as a FreeLogix ... Read More:

This iPod looked dodgy ever since it came out. It looks more or less a miniature version of the ipod classic. It's just £50 than a classic. This only store 4 GB (some 8GB) while classic store 80 GB and it has no extra features whatsoever. Finally the 4th generation is out and that can do things the classic can't so don't buy this.

I bought this product from pc world and to date has broken 2 IPod nano's in the same way (yes you are thinking that I am a bit "special" to repeat this mistake again) but i would still advise against this product

I already have two ipod stations - both from Logic3, and I am still delighted with them both for quality and reliability. BUT recently I ordered one of these and it wouldn't charge my ipod. So I returned it to Amazon, and the replacement has now developed a curious fault - it just stops dead half way through the first or second song on an album. There's nothing wrong with the ipod as it works on the other stations... so either Amazon has a bum shipment of these things or the manufacturer is not so wonderful as they were! Be warned.

I bought these for my sister to use in her bedroom with her iPod. The sound quality is ok at a reasonable volume, but when listening at low volumes there is an audible hum, and at high volumes the speakers struggle to cope and there can be a significant amount of distortion.
No real complaints as they are fairly cheap, but if you want something which can handle a bit more oomph I would go for the Logitech MM50's which IMHO are far better.

I had many reservations about buying these speakers but after reading the Amazon reviews and not wanting to spend £100 on Apple speakers, I decided to go for these when they were £19.99.
Yes, you get what you pay for in the ever-so slightly cheap looking plastic, however it's nothing to worry about and the sound quality is excellent. Easy to install and use; my iPod nano looks great in it. Would definately recommend.
