"Grand Theft Auto IV" (Signature Series Guide)

If you want a walkthrough of the main storyline then this is a good book for it. It also gives you details of all the flying rats and unique stunt jumps.

However the book does seem slightly flawed.

1. There is no page at the start with all the cars/bikes/helicopters etc so you know what there is.

2. There is no page to tell you where to find the exotic cars.

3. On the pullout map at the back it gives you locations for 10 exotic cars. When you get there the car is no where to be found. No clues as to how / when they are supposed to be there.

So it does have some useful information but there is a lot they have missed out and just made a half assed attempt.

Burnout Paradise (PS3)

Graphics in this game will completely blow your mind but play it for more than 10 hours and I assure you, you will get bored. I still believe that burnout 3 was the best burnout ever, I would not recommend that you buy this game. Buy something like Gran Turismo 5 or Race Grid.

I don't care what review sites say, this is a solid FPS. It can't compare to Resistance 2 or Killzone 2 but there's nothing wrong with it that I could mark it down on. Though I will say the last cut-scene was a real kick in the face after hours of playing, and because they made it public that you defect from Mantle before release it did spoil the Mantle part of the game, when you know that they're the bad guys.

DualShock 3 PS3 controller (PS3)

I do not own one of these and do not plan to order this either I have found a cheaper white one from a website (Better not post or amazon might not be happy) which i am going to get when i get a ps3 (This month) I am still going to say that it is worthwhile as the sixaxis is not inredibly much cheaper and is pretty inferior. Really should go for this DS3 or import a white one.

Army of Two (PS3)

Army of Two is about 2 mercernaries, Rios and Salem, who are dropped into real world hotspots (such as Iraq and Afghanistan) to resolve conflicts. There is a plot, but nothing worthy of mention, in fact the whole thing reeks of chest beating American patriotism. May work for some, put it completely turned me off.

Yet the controversial subject matter always made this an enticing prospect. The focus is very much on co-op play here, which works well and is entertaining enough.

However, single player isnt so hot. The game just doesent flow, with the majority of levels being a collection of awkward and under-developed set pieces. The 'back to back' mode would have worked much better if it could be activated randomly, the parachuting section ... Read More:

Devil May Cry 4 (PS3)

I thought this game was going to be good and i was not disspointed. For starters the graphics are excellent plus the gameplay is good to,if you like quick action packed games you will love this! 9/10

Half-Life 2: The Orange Box (PS3)

this game is so awesome because there is 5 of the best games on the market, the best being team fortress 2 which is a war game where you can choose from about 10 different classes, half life 2, episode 1 and episode 2 are all games where youre running around shooting either army men or zombies that are willing to tear your face off.
portal is a puzzle game where you are trying to escape from a scientific lab called apature science whith this crazy robot that is trying to murder you, as you go along it taunts and insults you by telling you that you murdered the companion cube which is a box with a heart on it and that you have no friends.

Great stuff here... loads of features and can always find somthing to play or go browsing on the net as some browser games work on it and youtube in the living room is pretty cool! but as for backwards combatabilty.... to have the ps2 games in the 1st place you must OWN a ps2 right? well why dont u just play that for ps2 games! and hardly any consoles are backwards compatable apart from the ps2 so your not gonna get any better from other consoles.. unless you get 60gb which can atually play old ps2 games.

Sid Meier's Civilization: Revolution (PS3)

I love the PC Civilisation games and their genre. I am more than happy spending days playing one game and slowly and methodically working my way through the ages. So having had a go on the demo I purchased the full version.

If you are a devotee of the previous Civilisation games then do not assume that this is a games console version of the same. It is not. In my opinion the game is "dumbed down", being far shorter, offering far less options and being less involved. Other reviews call the game "Civilisation Light" and I think this tag is an appropriate one.

However, is this a bad thing? Not necessarily - if you want a "quick" game (i.e. a few hours) rather than a epic marathon struggle lasting days then it is still a turn based strategy game with a lot to offer.
