HDMI Cable (PS3)

This cable is great, it may not be the most expensive on the market and it may not have the designer name that some of the other cables have, but I have to be honest I really couldn't tell the difference! I know you see all the stats and the product description tells you how much better the 50 pound cable will be but to the naked I it will make such little difference its unbelievable. If you have a reasonable HDTV you shouldn't have any worry at all. If you don't which incidentally I dont (I have a 350 pound Hanspree 37") you probably wont notice the difference anyway. In my house we have my CHEAP TV with my CHEAP cable and my dad has a 2000 pound SONY with a very expensive cable. We played alongside each other a couple of times to see the difference ... Bought this expecting great things and to be honest was a little disappointed.

Its great for playing blu ray dvds, excellent gameplay and quality picture yet the reason I only give it three stars is the disappointing load up times and the lack of online gaming.

You stand for three hours in the pouring rain for that long awaited game at midnight, get home in the wee small hours and hey presto wait for an hour while the damn thing uploads and downloads. M mate meanwhile is an hour into his game on his xbox 360.

I have to wait for my mates to drop in for a multiplayer game, my mate plays it all the time on the xbox 360.

Had sony not won the war in the hd versus blue ray I know where I would have invested ... Read More:

Here we go again. It's the whole dvd situation again. You buy a film in good faith, only for them to replace it a few months later. It's pathetic that this film doesn't have either of the high def sound formats DTS MA or DD True HD. It's the reason I tend to rent Blu-Ray discs rather than buy at the moment. Great film though. 4 stars is for the film, 3 stars for the disc itself.

Don't rent this title, splash the £40 and buy it. It's almost 10 hours of beautifully (patiently) short footage of poor critters that the human race will probably have wiped out in the next decade. I've only seen 3 episodes so far, but the baby bear and the birds that glide over the mountain are awesome, nature and the natural world at its very best.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (PS3)

First off I have to say I can not really find much to fault with the game. The graphics look great, the cars are realistic enough, the courses fine. Everything about the game is OK, it just lacks that spark, that special something that makes you want to keep returning to the game. If you like driving games you will like this but lets hope there are some better ones out there.

I haven't tried the online game yet, maybe I will later (or maybe I wont).

Great stuff here... loads of features and can always find somthing to play or go browsing on the net as some browser games work on it and youtube in the living room is pretty cool! but as for backwards combatabilty.... to have the ps2 games in the 1st place you must OWN a ps2 right? well why dont u just play that for ps2 games! and hardly any consoles are backwards compatable apart from the ps2 so your not gonna get any better from other consoles.. unless you get 60gb which can atually play old ps2 games.

I do not own one of these and do not plan to order this either I have found a cheaper white one from a website (Better not post or amazon might not be happy) which i am going to get when i get a ps3 (This month) I am still going to say that it is worthwhile as the sixaxis is not inredibly much cheaper and is pretty inferior. Really should go for this DS3 or import a white one.
