Rejoice

I'm surprised by the number of reviewers who criticise Katherine because she has not performed in opera and then compare her unfavourably with leading opera singers. Nowhere on this CD (or any of her CDs and DVDs) is she described as an opera singer and her recordings do not claim to be opera. Her recordings do include some arias from opera (though not here) and these are sung very well, but she also includes Welsh songs,(again sadly none on this disc), hyms, songs from musicals and other works. This variety increases that buyers might not like every track. I bought this CD because it contains 'Samcta Maria' set to the music of the Intermezzo from Mascagmi's Cacalleria Rusticana' 'Be Still My Soul' the hymn set to the main theme from Finlandia ... Amore

Andrea Bocelli simply has one of the most beautiful voices in the world. Amore is a collection of fine love songs, which Bocelli sings absolutely beautifully. These tracks are really suited to his style - they just sound so rich and you can really feel the emotion in his voice. The production on this album is equally great and Amore really is one of the most beautiful albums of the year.

Andrea Bocelli - Sacred Arias

A CD that has so much beauty it moves you from beginning to end. His voice portrays so much emotion that you don't just appreciate the sound, you feel every note that he sings.

There are some CDs that are simply labelled "mood music", and this for me is one that I file under such a category. Every time I listen it lifts me and transports me to places only I can go to. Somewhere that escapes the modern world.

The choice of arias is perfect. Many of which I was unfamiliar with. However, I have since introduced this CD to a number of people, many who listen to an entirely different genre of music; nearly all have been captivated by it.

All I can say is buy it and soak up the rich fare on offer.

This late 2007 album is another to add to the collection for Russell Watson fans.Its a little strange to grasp but the mix of classical and pop is sometimes a good one and Russell is the "Daddy" of crossover the Voice as he is also known as because he has power and range beyond most singers classical or pop that are round at the moment.
There has always been a debate over is classical best for the Voice? as he sings and entertains in his music and the passion and power shows what ever he sings!So its good to hear what else this versatile voice can do!What ever you may think of his success it is undeniable he has talent ,I am sorry but sour grapes just does not cut it with me his success is a reflection of his talent and voic.Come on ! if he was so ... Vivere : One Night In Tuscany

Confusingly there are two completely different Vivere (Dare to Live) albums, one of them a `Best of Andrea Bocelli' single CD, and this one, a CD plus DVD release of the singers live concert at the Teatro del Silenzio (Theatre of Silence) in Bocelli's Italian birthplace of Tuscany on 5th July 2007.

With this live concert album the CD is made largely redundant by the DVD, offering just 6 songs from the concert plus two studio bonus tracks, and to me there seems little purpose including it with this album (the concert is also available as a DVD only release titled `Vivere, Andrea Bocelli Live in Tuscany' which is the same footage as on this album). Romanza

Romanza" was my first Andrea Boticelli album and still remains my favorite. I think this is the tenor's most definitive collection, showcasing his sweet, rich sound, powerfully held long notes, and exquisite sense of cadence. Supposedly, this was the CD geared to "bridge the gap" between pop and opera. Boticelli certainly exhibits a diverse style with this top-notch selection of romantic songs.

When I originally bought "Romanza," back in the 20th century, I did so because of Botecelli's interpretation of "Con te Partiro," (Time To Say Goodbye"), which is still an exceptional song after all these years. Andrea Bocelli - Sogno

I have all of Bocelli's CDs and for me this ranks number 1, followed closely by Cieli di Toscana. As with most of his works, the first time of hearing doesn't have too great an impact but the music grows on you. I will be humming a tune during the day and wonder what is that? Then I remember that it's off the Sogno album or Cieli di Toscana album. I then cannot wait to get home so that I can play the cd again. His voice is great, the tunes are melodious and the overall production superb.
Highly recommended.

First heard Andrea Bcelli ages ago singing with Sarah Brightman - "Time to say goodbye". And now I can't get enough of him, well worth watching - Full marks.

Classical 2008

This 2CD release is a great collection of classical music which bears no real relevance to the 2008 in the title other than being released almost (!) in 2008.

The only common factor between all the tracks is that they are all, without exception, performed by top artists, making the album both highly recommended and, considering the numerous different performers who are included, guaranteed to please most listeners.

The album doesn't make any 'Best of', 'Ultimate' or 'The Only One You'll ever Need' claims because quite simply anyone who likes it will probably want more, the obvious choice of course is the inevitable 'Classical 2009' release next year.
