HDMI Cable (PS3)

This cable is great, it may not be the most expensive on the market and it may not have the designer name that some of the other cables have, but I have to be honest I really couldn't tell the difference! I know you see all the stats and the product description tells you how much better the 50 pound cable will be but to the naked I it will make such little difference its unbelievable. If you have a reasonable HDTV you shouldn't have any worry at all. If you don't which incidentally I dont (I have a 350 pound Hanspree 37") you probably wont notice the difference anyway. In my house we have my CHEAP TV with my CHEAP cable and my dad has a 2000 pound SONY with a very expensive cable. We played alongside each other a couple of times to see the difference ... Sony Playstation 3 Console (40GB Version)

Bought this expecting great things and to be honest was a little disappointed.

Its great for playing blu ray dvds, excellent gameplay and quality picture yet the reason I only give it three stars is the disappointing load up times and the lack of online gaming.

You stand for three hours in the pouring rain for that long awaited game at midnight, get home in the wee small hours and hey presto wait for an hour while the damn thing uploads and downloads. M mate meanwhile is an hour into his game on his xbox 360.

I have to wait for my mates to drop in for a multiplayer game, my mate plays it all the time on the xbox 360.

Had sony not won the war in the hd versus blue ray I know where I would have invested ... Read More:

FIFA 08 (PS3)

A good game but it really is like fifa 06 with better graphics. No create a team, and most irritatingly, every save is called career 1, 2 etc. which makes it very difficult to find one if you have lots of saves. No practice either. The arena is a good idea but training allows you to have practice matches whereas arena is a player against a keeper. there are plusses. graphics 9/10. realism 9/10. having real boots like addidas, puma, umbro etc rather than just ea 1 2 3etc. a good game but lacks some crucial elements. 3 and a 1/2 stars.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (PS3)

Great graphics, great cars, great sounds, and the online play works well. It is a fantastic game for the price and they are also adding stuff all the time including GT TV which came this month!

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (PS3)

I have been playing Pro Evolution Soccer games since the first one came out for Playstation 2 some years ago and have been buying the updated games yearly up until Pro Evo 5. So when the new edition for the PS3 was released I couldn't wait as finally I was looking forward to playing it online most of all and was my main reason for buying it.

Firstly though to the single player game: My initial reaction is somewhat disappointed as I feel that the gameplay feels slowly and not as crisp and exciting as the PS2 versions. The are very additions as compared to FIFA 08 which has much more depth and challenges. But for the time being I can cope with these niggles as it was the online features I was mostly concerned about.

Call of Duty 4 (PS3)

We all know how important customer reviews are as its the customers who, at the end of the day, expect to recieve fully finished quality products and for once (sorry sony) there is finally a game I am certainly not willing to sell - ever! This game is just simply stunning. Im sure most of you who have a PS3 and have several friends on your list will all be displaying 'Playing Call of Duty 4'. It's hard to imagine just how good this game is so im going to try a new method of approach.
Now imagine your 7 years old, your walking into a sweets store and the person behind the counter smiles at you and says "its your lucky day, your our 100th customer and everything to you in this shop is free". Burnout Paradise (PS3)

Graphics in this game will completely blow your mind but play it for more than 10 hours and I assure you, you will get bored. I still believe that burnout 3 was the best burnout ever, I would not recommend that you buy this game. Buy something like Gran Turismo 5 or Race Grid.

Assassin's Creed (PS3)

This is an excellent game if you are, for instance, writing a book on the Holy Land and want to get a good idea of what it looked like. If, however, you want to do the more obvious thing and play it for enjoyment I advise you not to bother.

Repetitive and boring Assassins Creed has been a total let down. Yes it's beautiful but what use is that to me? Do I really want to invite my friends round to admire the beauty of the Holy Land? Perhaps to a degree but what I really want is a game that contains the game play of Oblivion or Battlefield: Bad Company.

Need for Speed: ProStreet (PS3)

Hubby bought a PS3 a few weeks ago along with the usual warfare games which being female are not for me. Got the free trial download for Prostreet Need for Speed and I decided to have a go and enjoyed it so much we bought the game. Now I am completely hooked. I just love the challenges, trying to win the races, trying not to damage the car. I really feel my adrenalin going and my heart racing.

We also bough Gran Turismo but I cannot get into that yet and find it quite boring.

I need my life back though as I cannot tear myself away from the PS3 and Need for Speed.

Next thing is a wheel as the PS3 controls are quite difficult. Problem with a wheel though is you need a stand?

SmackDown Vs Raw 2008 (PS3)

having recently just purchased the game i have to say it was a little hard to get to grips with first, but after a few gos it became very good to play..
the wwe 24/7 mode could of been better the main down point is that you cant use the hall of fame wrestlers to play in it, second of all it does get a bit boring and u lose intrest quite quickly..
The up side to the game is that the graphics are great as u would expect, the action is good, and u can have some really good wrestling matchs..
