Midnight Club Los Angeles drops players into a painstakingly recreated version of world-famous Tinseltown. Broken down into five distinct open-world gameplay areas, linked on the game map, cumulatively these areas comprise a massive area, much larger than anything ever seen in previous Midnight Club releases and possibly larger than any existing racer to date. Within these areas, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Mulholland Drive and Downtown LA, players are free to engage in mission play driving them to attain and customize a wide range of authentic world-class street racing vehicles, or to simply explore the city, taking on all comers in a variety of race types as they wish. Regardless, along the way they will experience not only the visual realism of the iconic boulevards, freeways, and landmarks made famous in TV and movies, but also the realism of the living breathing LA urban experience. Here traffic backs up then clears as people go to and leave work for the day, weather systems come and go and day turns to night, then back again. All the while the race goes on. It's all part of the living, breathing LA. It's all part of the Midnight Club. The Cars Midnight Club: Los Angeles will feature an astounding selection of vehicles in the Muscle Car, Exotics, Tuners, Motorcycle and Luxury car categories. The hottest licensed cars and bikes in the world are at your disposal - kit them out, supe them up, and personalize them down to the last detail to make them all your own. Visit the Club's in-game garages located in Hollywood and Santa Monica and let your imagination run wild - tweaking and fine tuning through the following three different types of vehicle modifications: Performance & Handling - To become a street legend, you're going to have to tune your vehicle for maximum performance. The garage offers three levels of upgrades for virtually every component on your vehicle, but it's up to you to craft the winning combination that will give you the edge on the competition.Exterior - For the Midnight Club, stunting is a habit and its clandestine Los Angeles garages have all the toys needed to ensure heads turn in this jaded town. From making sure your car is dripping in candy paint, to adding unique body kits and jaw dropping extras, the garage offers practically limitless possibilities to personalize your vehicle with aftermarket accessories and customizable options. Game Modes As of the time of publishing Rockstar Games has not confirmed the gameplay modes that will be available for Midnight Club: Los Angeles, but multiple multiplayer gameplay modes, in addition to a deep singleplayer mode, are expected to be available with the game.  Rating:  - Save your money ...Not at all what I was expecting. Next time I'll wait until the game comes out instead of pre-ordering. To put quite simply ... the game sucks. Graphics up to par?...well, I should hope so being a PS3. But with completely unrealistic crashes and ridiculously flawless AI -- stick with GTA4 and you'll be much better off. Hope this saves somebody some money. Rating: - OK, but room for improvement... I've played alot of different racing games & this one ranks up there as one of the most difficult I have ever had the priviledge of putting in my SONY Playstation. I compare it mostly to NFS Underground part 2. You can ride around town looking for people to race & to knock out objectives, thats good, it's the racing that sucks. The actual racing on this game is very difficult, even when you get money and can buy the high end exotic cars that still doe's not make it any easier, if anything it makes the racing tougher because you come up on traffic & road obstacles faster giving you less time to react. On NFS Underground your route was clearly marked so that you could not miss it but on this game it is not, there are simply icon markers ... Very good graphics and sounds. Gameplay is very fun. The crashes are very realistic and fun to watch. This is everything you want to hear thats good about it. OK, the bad stuff. Only one thing. One very bad, fustrating, retarded thing. THE POLICE!!! They are not programmed right or something. Usually when a cop starts to flash it lights at me, I pull over so I can just get a ticket, but these cops are to stupid to find me and give me a ticket. If they don't find you in about ten seconds, it becomes a pursuit, and since I'm stopped, they find me before I start going again and arrest me and take a lot of money. ... The gameplay is sick and the grafiks are insane. 10 out of 10 any day even my wife loves it. Rating: - Perfect continuation of a great seriesTons to talk about with Midnight Club Los Angeles so I'll get right down to it. With the extended wait for this release, I had high hopes and Rockstar delivered on every one of them. The graphics on here are much smoother than on Rockstar's other big release this year, Grand Theft Auto IV. Frames flow seamlessly and this game looks incredible when played on your HDTV. When you first pop this game in and start your career, you're given a horrible hooptie that you're expected to start winning races with. Don't be discouraged, this game is pretty hard at the start but once you get into the flow of things, you'll find yourself winning races, racking up cash, and driving much nicer vehicles.
