 Rating:  - Ice CreamMy 2 girls (aged 2 and 3) love this toy. They play with it everyday and it is a nice interactive toy as they always bring the ice-cream round and offer it to all members of the family (even our 4 week-old!). It is solid and sturdy - which is good because it gets dropped on the floor a lot! My only criticism is that most of the toy is plastic which isn't what I expect of Melissa and Doug. Rating: - Best Play Food SetThis is hands down the best play food set I have come across. Melissa and Doug score again! Solid wood cones (2), Plastic "ice cream scoops" (chocolate, strawberry, mint chip) and (2) ice cream scoopers. I was wondering how the ice cream would stay on the cone before we opened it. I assumed it was the old standby velcro which I am not a big fan of (noise and fuzz collector). Instead there are magnets imbedded in the cone, scoop and scooper. (No chance of the magnets coming loose). It is amazingly fun how great the the scooper picks up the scoop and attaches it to the cone. I had almost more fun on my daughter's 2nd birthday than she did. Enjoy! She spends a great deal of time playing and creating new ways to use the ice cream parlor. I would buy the Melissa and Doug toys again without question. Rating: - Love it!!!My daughter (3 years old) got this for her birthday. It was a big hit! All the kids loved playing with it. Even some of the parents were trying it out. The cones are made of wood--so they're heavy and if you drop it on your toes, watch out! But the ice cream itself is a lightweight, very durable plastic. I would highly recommend this product to any kids. I'm thinking of purchasing a second set just for when friends come over, that way they can each have a cone! One thing I would like to recommend to the Melissa and Doug company, is for them to come out with a "Ice cream parlour 2" set.
