Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - One of the best Tactical RPG's to date.
This game is so deep that it is not humanly possible to explain every point to the game. Well, first, let's start off with the story.

It's 15 years after a reformation, and your going to an island to stop a rebellion/conflict. Simple, eh? Haha, no. This story is amazingly deep. In some cases I had trouble understanding what they were doing, since most "E" games are really easy to understand. It's actually like your character's in a war. Treason, battles, death, choices and decisions, and even a turn of events which can lead you against friends.

As for the gameplay, it's awesome. The only con about this is that the battles are LONG. Geh, if your guys aren't beefed up then it might take a while. Healing is a must. It is almost impossible to get through this game without a healing class. I learned this the hard way. Basically, you choose a character and command it to your own will. Then comes the enemy phase, and you must be ready. An onslaught of fierce or maybe foolish attacks will be against you. Be wary if your characters are huddled together, because I spell might vanquish your men. If your characters die, they die! You'll never see them again.

A simple conclusion.

PROS:
- Numerous Weapons and Classes
- Battle style never gets old
- Deep Story

CONS:
- Battles may take longer than you think
- Not being able to spell-cast automatically is annoying
- Choices may hurt in the long run and you may not know it

Thanks for reading.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of a few true strategy games available for the Gameboy Advance
Be careful, this game will suck up your time. As an adult it is hard to find games for the Gameboy Advance that keep my attention for long. If you are an Advance Wars fan as I am then this game should be a part of your collection. Get extra batteries!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best Gameboy RPG Ever!
I have owned this game for quite some time and I also own just about every other video game system ever made. I have played through the game about eight times now. The possiblility of multiple paths as well as different endings makes this game new ever time you play it. The gameplay is involving. The character class system is wonderful. The game, while not graphicly astounding, still looks beautiful. The music is the only thing I think could be better, but it is only a minor thing. If you're looking for a great portable game to joyfully eat up hours over a long trip this is a definite, but I think this game is worth playing even over most new rpgs for the latest and greatest home systems.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A fun game, worth owning.
I picked up Tactics Ogre a while back hoping for an enjoyable rpg experience. Though this game is turn-based, I was not dissapointed at all. Game play is pretty intuitive, I was able to pick up the game and play without having to read much of the manual at all. The graphics are well done, I enjoy the stylized fantasy sprites. The storyline is intriguing enough to keep you interested, also, rather than just speeding through the cut scenes to fight the next battle. All in all if you enjoy turn-based strategy games, Tactics Ogre is worth the money you spend on it.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Fun, enjoyable, and worthwhile!
To start off, this game is much like FFT, yet not as good, such as the storyline, but I won't go on, this game came before FFT anyway.

Much like FFT you have a little map an you go to places doing missions, gaining new weapons, earning spells, going to shops, and having to deal with the regular fantasy world of this Medival age. One feature I love is that when you defeat one enemy, they will usually drop a bag, and inside is an item! it can be a weapon, stat raiser, or a herb of some sort.

One great feature is you can HIRE units in shops. This is a great feature instead of waiting around for a unit to randomly come. Also a great thing you can have Beasts in your army, Octopuses, Dragons, Griffins, etc.,etc. You can also PERSUADE people to join on the battlefield. Mind you it's always a very, very, VERY, low percent, some units are better at persuading than others.

The class build up is great to. You earn different emblems in order to gain jobs. Such as you need a sniper emblem to gain an archer.

Ahhh... now the story, A BIT to predictable though. You are part of an army and then you go on your seperate way. Ehehehe...also there are other parts BUT you "choose" what path/story you will take....

At the beginning of the game, you get your fortune told and you choose what path you will take, what oath, etc. THAT is how you know what story will be told. That means...
Two words:REPLAY VALUE. You will have to beat it about 10 times until you get all the storylines.

Yet, there are some major cons....
-You can't save during battles... I had to stop, so I hooked it up to my charger to play it when i got back, but know it says like 30 hours when it should be 20....
- Hired units always are level one, unless you give more money
-Storyline still isn't really deep, a bit dull
-Battle style is a bit repetitive, not a big variety of weapons

See my Review on FFTA which is titled "After two years..."
Thank you for reading my review, and I hope it helps.
