Fox news would give this book a good review, as it presents their darling little conservative housewife governor in a good light! Sarah Palin has become nothing but a mascot and a puppet to the conservative party, complete with quaint little catch phrases. I don't know how anyone would be interested enough in this woman to write a book about her. I tried to donate the book, but no one wanted it, so I used my copy to line my rat cage.

This so called book is more like a long pamphlet, approximately 160 pages that could be read on a two hour flight. There is nothing new or particularly insightful here just random vignettes that skim the surface of a troubled life. It is somewhat witty but mainly I got the impression that she banged it out over a weekend possibly to avoid an impending foreclosure or make a tuition deadline. Wait for the paperback folks.

Josh Hamilton, through his performance in the 2008 baseball season, was given the platform, to be able to have a book published about his life. The book detailed much about his drug use and stays at treatment facilities. I was impressed by the story of his resilience and the people who stood by him, especially his grandmother and father-in-law. His story also shows that even though his parents supported him and traveled with him during his first two years, one bad decision can snowball into many more poor ones. This is a great book for baseball fans or those in recovery from drug addiction.

This book is disturbing and for that reason should be on the short list of required texts for college. Unlike the WWI and WWII war books which read like ancient history this one hits close to home as most of the events transpired within the last decade. The author does a great job of telling his story from a boys point of view with imagery that will give you nightmares.

If you cannot handle reading about graphic violence, rape, murder, wartime atrocities, then do not buy this book. Otherwise it is a good companion to the Blood Diamond movie which covers some of the same material.

Stunningly beautiful, thought-provoking, and engaging photographs.

The range of photos shows such emotion. The personal moments give you pause. You will find yourself lost in contemplation. I don't remember seeing such a powerful collection of photographs of a person since JFK.

If you know anyone who finds inspiration from our new President, buy this coffee table book for a daily dose of hope.

I purchased this Book for my 15 year old Daughter and ended up getting into myself. It is a very interesting look into the life of Nikki Sixx during the mid to late 80's. Very good book. I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Motley Crue. The book arrived very quickly. I was very please with the whole order process

This is an interesting story about Michael Greenberg's daughter, Sally, who one day out of the blue just goes crazy. It tells how he and his wife, Pat, his ex-wife and his family and friends dealt with it. Primarily it is about Sally and her story. I found it interesting how different people dealt with this. I got into this book right away and enjoyed it. I recommend it and think you will enjoy it too. Thanks for sharing, Mr. Greenberg.

The Widow Clicquot: The Story of a Champagne Empire and the Woman Who Ruled It

The Widow Clicquot by Tilar J Mazzeo is clearly a labor of love. The author goes into painstaking detail regarding a fairly obscure part of French history to tell us the story of a remarkable woman and by extension the story of how Champagne became the bubbly we love today. Barbe-Nicole Cliquot (nee Ponsardin)lived during the French revolution and would no doubt be even more obscure than she is had she not been pushed into business by the untimely death of her husband.
Mazzeo does a great job of bringing Barbe-Nicole to life even while acknowledging the places where the historical records are thin. She is able to educate the reader on a number of subjects, including wine making and French history, without losing sight of the main character.

One of the best pieces of work I have seen from Eminem. You get a look into his personal life and the man behind the brilliant lyrics. This book told me just enough about his life to respect him, but without giving away too many details. The pictures were awesome and entertaining, and there are many original copies of his lyrics. If you enjoy Em's music, you must get this book because it shows him in a completely different light. Everyone I showed it to was amused, even those who are not particularly fans of his.
