I have every one of her cookbooks. Love each one I have for various reasons. If I need a recipe for a special occasion this is where I go for the best. Never fails to be a crowd pleaser. One of my favorites of this book is the maple-roasted butternut squash...yummmmmmmm

I'm a fan of Stephen King's work, and I'm particularly pleased that he is so devoted to the short story form. Some of his anthologies -- NIGHT SHIFT, SKELETON CREW, and EVERYTHING'S EVENTUAL -- are really first rate, some of the best speculative short stories you will ever read.

JUST AFTER SUNSET is a collection of his more modern work, and if you're not a big fan of King's novels of the past decade, you probably won't be a fan of this anthology either. A number of the stories in this book are pretty much an exercise in style with very little plot or payoff. The best example of this would be "Graduation Afternoon," a pointless effort with a silly tacked-on ending.

I'm devouring this enormous book so fast that I'm getting a "Snowball Headache" LOL
His approach to investing is well displayed in the book and fun to watch develop over time as he moves from selling newspapers and used golf balls to become an icon in the world of finance. His life, and the colorful group of people who have been part of his story, make for a great read.
Thank you Alice Schroeder for giving us this glimpse into the man and his methods.

This is a great addition to the movie and a must have for any diehard Twilight fan. This book not only includes many gorgeous photos from the movie, it also shares the ins and outs of filming Twilight.

I am a HUGE fan of James Patterson's Alex Cross series. I look forward to the new releases with great anticipation. However, I must say, I was thoroughly disappointed by this latest Alex Cross novel. It was a tough book to get through; which, for me, is unusual for this series.

(1) The murders were extremely gruesome and violent beyond what seemed necessary. (2) I have to agree with some of the other comments; Alex seemed to have lost his good and common sense in this book. His decisions constantly put those around him in harms way. His decision to fly off to Africa to pursue a killer in a foreign country with absolutely no government assistance seemed downright ridiculous. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this account of Greg Mortenson's journey through Pakistan to establish schools for girls who otherwise would not receive an education. I feel so much compassion for these innocent children who are victims of their existence. I would recommend this book to anyone living in the U.S. where we have education readily available. I also would recommend this book to those children in the U.S. who choose not to attend school. The Pakistan children are so eager to learn anything and read any books available to them. Greg's family should be extremely proud of his lifetime accomplishments to better the lives of children.
