This book has made me afraid to stay in America. I read the book and now I want to move to china or india so bad.

this book got tedious after awhile. I had to keep my eyes from closing and my mind from running somewhere else while I read. In a sense, he kept retelling what he already said in the beginning and almost all of his interviews are from Indian CEOs or Chinese CEOs. Some of the facts I learned from this book are quite surprising.

While I was reading this book, I was overcome by a really big urge to go up to Pres. Bush and slap him.

Overall I liked this book for only the new facts I learned, but other than that it was pretty tedious.

I'm going to start my third year of college soon and have already registered to take the GRE. This book is a MUST HAVE because ETS has changed the format of the GRE and this book covers all the changes. The book contains a lot of strategies that I could have figured out for myself...but the practice problems and tests are very useful. This is a priceless resource if you want to score high because they give you a list of the most common vocabulary words that appear on the GRE...I'm sure nobody wants to randomly memorize words from a dictionary.

This is a great reference for the Medical Terminology. It breaks things down so that the average person can really grasp the concept. Plus the illustrations in the book are FANTASTIC! This was not available on my college campus and I ordered this through Amazon and got it quickly to my front door. I highly recommend this book for the Medical Terminology or just for curiosity in the medical field.

This book is incredible.
Beats every other book in the series by far.
Adds a lot to the romance between Artemis and Holly
while maintaining and action theme. Amazing twist
in the middle of the novel that makes you think
Anthony Horowitz is a genius.

First, I want to say that I'd listened to the audio book of this years ago. And at the time it didn't resonate with me AT ALL. Frankly I'm not sure I finished the audio--but either way I couldn't remember any of it other than it was in my library.

Fast forward a couple years.. I adopted Tim Ferris' 4HWW method of listing tasks on an 8 1/2 x 11" sheet of plain paper. That worked great for me for a while. While I'm a tech guy, I like things that are effective, work anywhere, don't require batteries, etc.

I then wanted to--as David says: "Get off the runway" with my tasks and start managing with a more project/goal/initiative-centric approach. To me that was a big problem with the "tasks" approach--you get buried in "to do" stuff ... Read More:

While the Wongs have created a well-written, nicely-detailed and generally-helpful how-to for teachers, especially new ones, the book also can be maddeningly frustrating as well.
The book, as other critics have noted, is focused on the elementary school teacher, not the middle/junior or high school teacher. Some of the strategies and techniques do, indeed, work at the upper levels.
For example, all teachers, regardless of grade level, need to use a seating chart, an attention-getting signal and a daily "do-now" exercise. And the Wongs outline these ideas effectively.
But the Wongs have, unfortunately, based many of their ideas on the assumption that a teacher has his or her own room, to do with as he or she pleases. Such is not the case ... Read More:

Well-written, gripping, thoughtful, thorough investigation into the tragic and seemingly unavoidable events in the life of a sick young girl and her loving family. Everyone wanted the best, but it all went terribly wrong. A compelling example of why we all need to keep learning from each other.
